Supportive faculty, good placements, and excellent campus life.
Placements: I was a part of the B.Com batch of 2021-2024 at Maitreyi College. The course was very helpful, covering subjects like accounting, finance, taxation, and business law along with practical projects. Around 85% of students from our batch got placed, with the highest package being 12 LPA, the lowest 3 LPA, and the average around 5.5 LPA. Companies like Deloitte, TCS, Infosys, EY, KPMG, and ICICI Bank recruited students for roles like accounting executive, finance intern, marketing analyst, and audit trainee. About 90% of us got internships in good companies, which provided great real-world experience.
Infrastructure: Maitreyi College offered good facilities for students. Classrooms were spacious. Labs and the library were modern. Wi-Fi was across the campus. Hostel rooms were clean and comfortable. Mess and canteen hygienic food was provided. Medical help was available on campus. Sports facilities like football, cricket, and indoor games were available. The college had everything needed for study, and a balanced campus life.
Faculty: Teachers at Maitreyi College were helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. They always ready to clear doubts and guide students. The teaching quality was good, with a balance of theory and practical learning. The course curriculum was relevant. They designed to make students industry-ready by including practical projects, case studies, and internship opportunities. Semester exams were moderately challenging, testing both understanding and application of concepts. The pass percentage was generally high, reflecting good academic support from the faculty.
Other: I chose B.Com at Maitreyi College for a strong foundation in accounting and finance. The best parts were practical learning, helpful teachers, and internship opportunities. I wished there were more industry visits and workshops. The campus was lively, well-connected with fun events, fests, extracurricular activities, and scholarships for deserving students.

Everything you need to know before joining maitreyi college
Placements: In my course, around 40% of students get placed in the fields of sales, finance, and auditing. Some top recruiting companies are KPMG, EY, TCS, and many other companies with good market value. The average package one can expect in my course is 2-4 LPA. The highest package one can expect with good skills and great academic performance is up to 10 LPA.
Infrastructure: The hostel is good in terms of infrastructure and all, but restrictions are very high there like you can’t go out after 7. Daily attendance is taken, and food quality is average. Some washrooms are average, but according to the price, it is worth staying here rather than taking PG outside near the campus.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful there, but the main issue is that the college office staff is not cooperative at all. I faced issues in the past regarding my results, and they didn’t even show concern about it. The passing percentage of my course is around 95%. All the previous year’s questions come in the exam, so you don’t feel any kind of burden from this course. .
Other: I chose this course because I want to do ACCA along with it, as the subjects are similar and this course doesn’t provide any burden on me. The teachers here are very cooperative; they don’t show any kind of burden on students. The fest season in my college is the best compared to other colleges. Previously, Aastha Gill performed in my college, and the vibes were super amazing. The college has a variety of societies, from department societies to dance societies. I love them all.

The college has the most beautiful garden.
Placements: As I'm a new student I don't know much about the placements but as I have heard from my seniors good companies come for placements. The highest package has been 24 LPA for a B.Com student. Many internship opportunities keep on coming from time to time with a stipend or without a stipend. The experience provided here is good and helpful.
Infrastructure: Our college also has a newly constructed hostel. Rooms are great and spacious. The security provided there along with the food is amazing.
Faculty: We have exams every 6 months which are known as the semester exams. The difficulty level of the exam I must say is moderate it's not too difficult. The curriculum is very practical filled with majorly pragmatic knowledge that a student might need in the future. The course that I'm studying right now has great faculty and they are very helpful as well they are easy to approach and help the students as much as they can.
Other: I have always loved the accounting aspect of commerce. The crowd here is amazing and helpful in many ways. We also have our annual fest rhapsody which gets held every year in February very vibrantly. Apart from this throughout the year, we have many events and fests from time to time for example sparkles the Diwali fest, and many more.

Satisfied with the faculty and good infrastructure.
Placements: I'm currently in my first year of college, so I don't have much idea about placements, but most of the students recruited are either from B.Com program or B.Com (Hons). The highest package was 21 LPA, and the top recruiting companies included Deloitte. The internship-providing companies are Wipro, Tradeshala, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college provides us with almost every facility that it should. The infrastructure is quite good, but in some areas, it needs a little bit of improvement. All types of labs are available, and a two-story library with Wi-Fi facility is also available. The canteen provides really good food at reasonable rates.
Faculty: Our teachers are really nice; they are helpful, knowledgeable, qualified, and laid-back. They explain things very well. As for exams, I haven't taken any yet, so I don't have any idea about that. It also depends on how much you study; if you study well, it will be easy and vice versa.
Other: For commerce students, B.Com program/Hons has always been a priority, and it has been the same for me. Personally, I also wanted to do B.Com, and the placement rate in this course is good.

Maitreyi College is a ride to enjoy .
Placements: For B.Com students, the placement drive held in marketing and also in financial operations companies like Pixel comes, and around 85% were placed from my batch. The highest package was of 7 lakh, and the lowest one is around 3 lakh. Most companies recruit as interns. But then they get fixed there.
Infrastructure: As I was not in the hostel, I can't tell about the hostel, but the lab canteen classrooms and library were so good; there are a lot of books and more advanced equipment available. The food in the canteen is so affordable and tasty, and one more thing: every Sunday, a new dish comes into the picture.
Faculty: Exams were average—not much hard, not much easy; it up to you how you study, and in course you study a lot about accounting, investment, financial marketing, and all. Yes, the course curriculum is so good, and teachers were also so good at teaching exams that are totally based on what you study.
Other: I chose this course because I want to go into banking operations, and yes, talking about the fest, crowd, and extracurricular activities, the college was so good. I had seen Darshan Raval for the first time, and the crowd was very good and well managed.

Q:   How does the DU CSAS seat allocation impact Maitreyi College BCom admissions?
    A:

In the seat-filling aspect related to the merit of candidates for Maitreyi College BCom admission, an important attribute is DU CSAS seat allocation. After declaring the results of CUET, there is a seat allotment process whereby students can be given an opportunity to register and fill in their choices pertaining to programme and college. This system of CSAS at DU guarantees complete transparency in the selection process. It is well-publicized among all aspirants; their seat allocation is done in multiple rounds based on CUET scores and preference. The method not only smoothes the process of admission but also helps Maitreyi College manage the limited BCom seats effectively to ensure that deserving candidates secure admission on merit.

    AskShikshaGPT on App
Q:   How many total numbers of Maitreyi College BCom seats are available for 2024?
    A:

Total seats at Maitreyi College for BCom are, according to policy in 2024: 130 for BCom and 90 for BCom (H). This means the college ensures quality in commerce fields but with a view to keeping the admissions competitive. Therefore, candidates need to score very high marks in CUET since the admission is merit-based. As there are only limited seats available, the responsibility lies on the interested students to be well prepared in advance for the entrance exam aimed at securing an admission in the BCom course of their choice at Maitreyi College.

Q:   Can I get direct admission for the BCom programme at Maitreyi College?
    A:

No, students cannot get direct admission to the BCom programme available at Maitreyi College. Admission is based on merit through CUET. For registration, candidates have to sign up for the accepted entrance exam and appear for it, followed by the CSAS counselling process. All this assures that the selection of the students will be fair and transparent, which results from the performance in the entrance test conducted by the NTA. There is no direct entry in the BCom course provided by Maitreyi College. Candidates interested in this course are allowed for admission only through the registration and application process via CUET.

    AskShikshaGPT on App
Q:   Is the curriculum for Maitreyi College's BCom aligned with the CUET syllabus?
    A:

Yes, Maitreyi College follows a BCom syllabus that goes with the CUET syllabus. This is because such a pattern helps students prepare efficiently for the CUET entrance test that is crucial for entry into BCom courses. Thus, accordingly, the college has framed the Maitreyi College BCom syllabus in such a way to keep the students prepared with knowledge and skills relevant to the entrance examination. Hence, only such comprehensive training will help them increase their understanding of the scientific concepts and enhance the probability of entrance into the specialisation they so desire in the BCom course at Maitreyi College.
