Government Model Engineering College (MEC), Kochi accepts KEAM entrance exam scores for admission to the BTech courses. MEC Kochi KEAM Cutoff 2024 was out, in which closing ranks in the last round varied between 1286 and 11394 for the students belonging to the General Home-State quota. The toughest course was BTech in Computer Science and Engineering.

MEC Kochi fee include various components, such as the tuition fee, hostel fee, and more. The fee amount varies from one specialisation to another. In the total course fee, some components are paid every semester, while some are one-time chargeable. The total tuition fee range between INR 1.1 Lacs and INR 3 lakh. MEC College considers GATE Exam as a national level exam for M.Tech admission. The cutoff marks for M.Tech admissions at MEC varies based on the GATE score and the specific discipline or programme you are applying to. If we consider range of GATE scores (28-32.7) as a general estimate, it implies that one would need to score within that range to have a relatively easier chance of securing admission to an M.Tech programme at MEC Kochi . However, this M.Tech course in this college is excellent.

Model Engineering College offers four UG courses in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics & Biomedical Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering and three PG courses, namely VLSI Design & Embedded Engineering, Computer Science Engineering in Data Science, Mechanical with Energy Management in affiliation with AKTU.

MEC Kochi does not offer direct admission. Candidates need to follow certain steps to join the college. Starting with fill out the application form for the preferred course. The selection for BTech programme Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination conducted every year by Government of Kerala. Besides, admission to M.Tech course is based on GATE score.
