MEC Kochi has not released a separate placement report for BTech as of now. However, as per an overall report, the highest package offered in the 2022 placement drive was above INR 32 LPA. A total of 416 offers were made. Moreover, the top recuiters in the placement drive were Myntra, Google, and Capgemini. 

Government Model Engineering College (MEC), Kochi accepts KEAM entrance exam scores for admission to the BTech courses. MEC Kochi KEAM Cutoff 2024 was out, in which closing ranks in the last round varied between 1286 and 11394 for the students belonging to the General Home-State quota. The toughest course was BTech in Computer Science and Engineering.

Candidates need to pass Class 12 or equivalent pass with at least 50% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Bio-technology/Computer Science/Biology taken together to apply for MEC Kochi BTech admission. Model Engineering College Thrikkakara Kochi offers B.Tech in CSE under the Computer Science and Engineering department. The admission to the B.Tech course is based on the rank obtained in the Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination (KEAM) conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Kerala.the cut off for CSE for the year 2021 are as follows:For general category, cut off was 538 in 1st round,   688 in wnd round and 1117 in 3rd round of KEAM counselling. In my opinion and according to stats, BTech CSE is the best branch in MEC Kochi. Placement is the highest in this branch over all other branches. A total of 416 offers were made and mostly in B.tech CSE branch. The average package in this branch is INR 7 LPA. The highest package offered is INR 35 LPA. You can choose this branch.

Model Engineering College Thrikkakara Kochi conducts internal exams for each course as part of the internal assessment component of the academic evaluation. The internal assessment marks are based on assignments, quizzes, seminars, etc. The internal exams are usually conducted twice in a semester. The duration of each exam is one hour and the marks are 30. If a student fails in an internal exam, he or she will get zero marks for that exam and it will affect his or her internal assessment marks. The internal assessment marks are calculated by taking the average of the two internal exams and adding 10 marks for attendance and 10 marks for other components. The internal assessment marks carry a weightage of 50% in the final grade.
