B.E. in Computer Engineering - Batch of 2028
4.0
Decent placements, supportive faculty, and good infrastructure at MESCOE Pune.
Placements: In MESCOE Pune, about 34% of students got placed, with packages ranging from 3.7 LPA to 42 LPA; the average package is 4.5 LPA. Top recruiters include IT and core companies. Roles offered were in software, electronics, and automation, with some internship opportunities.
Infrastructure: MESCOE Pune offers well-equipped labs, Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms, and a rich library for academic needs. The hostel has decent rooms, basic amenities, and average-quality mess food. Sports facilities, medical aid, and a canteen serving varied snacks are also available.
Faculty: MESCOE Pune has qualified and supportive faculty, with good subject knowledge and a practical approach. The curriculum is SPPU-based, covering core and industry-relevant topics. Semester exams are moderately difficult, with a high pass rate for prepared students.

Campus life is not very enjoyable but is worthwhile for education.
Placements: From batch 2025, the placement rate was down. Still, nearly 60% of the batch was placed in the computer branch. Companies like Zensar, Infosys, Capgemini, and TechMahindra are the top recruiters for the computer branch. The college helps a lot in internship and training programs. Generally, associate software developer roles are provided by the companies.
Infrastructure: College hostel is mainly available for first and second-year students. The hostel building is good, providing all the essential amenities. The mess is average but still better in that area. There are many labs designed for the computer department. The most recent one is the AR/VR lab, which is very attractive. All the equipment is new and branded.
Faculty: Faculty members are good and student-friendly. They ensure a good education and are themselves very learned and intelligent. The teaching quality is extraordinary, and they also cover topics beyond the syllabus. As the college follows the SPPU-designed curriculum, Insemister and EndSemister exams are conducted, but according to the new syllabus, only end semmister exams are held. The course curriculum is well-structured and also supports self-learning effectively.

Faculty members are the best, but placements are weak.
Placements: So, according to my personal observation, overall 40% of students got placed. The average package is 3 LPA - 5 LPA. Top recruiting company of my course included HSBC which is only for female candidates. Talking about internships, 5-7% of students got internships. Top role offered by the company is the hiring for GET (graduate engineer trainee).
Infrastructure: College infrastructure which plays an important role is as follows at my college. The labs are properly maintained issue is the lag of Wi-Fi in common rooms or corridors. I am not the hostelite but one thing I know is that mess is the worst, we can say no proper maintenance of students' health at all.
Faculty: As far as I know, the faculty members are one of the best things ever in the college other than non-tech faculty. Curriculum of the SPPU is followed in my college which prepares the students in a decent manner to get ready for all activities. Exams at the college are not felt that much difficult as it is the one opt branch.

Good infrastructure, placement provided, and qualified teachers.
Placements: Almost 40% of students are placed in our course. But almost 100% of the students are placed, and placements are provided. In which few are able to attain these placements. Almost 20 companies come to the college every year to provide placements.
Infrastructure: Most of the classes are with CCTV surveillance. A study room and library are available at the college with Wi-Fi connection. Library has a lot of books in it. Good infrastructure for the hostel. Good staff members and good security are provided to students.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and very helpful to you even after college. Their teaching quality is also good. Course curriculum is relevant. And it makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are difficult depending on the university. But easy most of the time.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in it. High knowledge gained in different computer languages. An event named as Jhankar is organised every year in February.

I am dissatisfied with the placements.
Placements: Around 35% are placed, among whom most are girl students. The highest package is 9 LPA and the lowest is 2.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are HSBC, Capgemini, and Capsitech. Around 10% of students got internships at Ellicium and Coditas. Roles offered are software trainee and analyst.
Infrastructure: Labs are good, and Wi-Fi is also available. The facilities in the hostel are the worst. Proper food is not there, and hostelers are already getting ill due to that. Also, there is no water purifier, so filtered water is not available, and cold water is also not available.
Faculty: Teachers are quite helpful, but they take things so personally that they don't take our submissions seriously and are just concerned about their work and lunch, especially. They don't consider our hard work and just take things so lightly. Semester exams are average because, most of the time, the questions are not from the syllabus, which is the reason we don’t score better in examinations.
Other: I chose this course to get the base ready for my further domain training. The best things are not so many, but the thing that should be improved is to please reduce the curriculum and make students practically ready for the industry. Only theoretical knowledge is not enough.

It has good placements and supportive faculty members.
Placements: In my college, the placement process has been improving steadily over the past couple of years. In the Computer Engineering course, approximately 75-80 percent of students got placed by the end of the final year. The highest package offered is 12 LPA by product-based companies, and the average package ranges between 3.5-4.5 LPA. The lowest package is usually around 2.5 LPA. Overall, the college is a good choice for IT placements especially if we are proactive and work on our skills.
Infrastructure: The college has decent infrastructure with a well-maintained library, computer labs with high-speed internet, smart classrooms, and a good campus Wi-Fi network. The hostel and canteen facilities are average but clean and safe. Sports and cultural activities are well-encouraged.
Faculty: Faculty members are supportive, qualified and explain concepts well. The course curriculum is fairly updated and includes practical subjects like web development, DSA and DBMS making students industry-ready. Exams are moderate, with a pass percentage of 85-90 percent.
Other: I am from the B.E. Computer Engineering course from the 2022-2026 batch. I chose this course due to my interest in programming, and problem-solving, and the high demand for tech professionals. The best part about the course is the strong focus on core technical skills like DSA, web development, and database management, which are essential for placements. Faculty support and lab facilities are also quite helpful. Our college regularly hosts technical and cultural fests like tech fest, annual day, and hackathons, which help build teamwork and creativity. The campus crowd is diverse and friendly, with students from various backgrounds. It also organises extracurricular activities. It has NSS and coding clubs.

Location is at the center of the city. The placement scene is bad, and students are not interested.
Placements: Placement packages range from 2.7 LPA to 5 LPA, with only 40-50% of students placed, mostly in service-based companies. No internships are provided. Students need to find their own or pursue research internship opportunities independently. Overall, placements are bad.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is for namesake and has no use. Computers and classrooms upgraded. Labs for AR/VR, which is a good upgrade. Computers in labs have top specs, with server and LAN facilities given. The library is good.
Faculty: Faculty is okay and limited to syllabus knowledge, focusing on getting good grades. The course curriculum is good, but teachers themselves have very less knowledge about it. Exams are easy if you know the concept. It's not a private college. It comes under Pune University.

Best engineering college in Pune.
Placements: Before the lockdown, it was almost 100 percent placement ratio, but after that, for the 22-23 batch, it's 70+ percent, and for the 24 batch, it's around 85 percent. The highest package offered by the company is 32 LPA, the lowest was around 2.4 LPA. The overall average CTC for various companies was 4-6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, TCS, Accenture, Tech Mahindra, and many more startups. It's compulsory to take at least one internship in the field of your own interest, and the college also provides internships within the campus, but candidates mostly choose private and paid internships. Top roles offered include Data Scientist, Network Engineer, Software Trainee, AI/ML, Software Tester, and so on.
Infrastructure: The college campus consists of a central library, well-maintained classrooms, specialized labs for practice, free Wi-Fi at all times, a playground for sports, and a gymnasium for workouts. The quality of food inside the canteen is good, with affordable prices. There is also a regular medical checkup for hostel candidates. Many indoor activities like chess, carrom, and outdoor games like cricket, football, volleyball, kabaddi, etc., are offered as sporting activities.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified and experienced in teaching students. Almost all of them have done or are pursuing their Ph.D. There are digital projectors, boards, and PCs for teaching. The course curriculum is not 100 percent industry-oriented, but it serves as a foundation for placement purposes. Semester exams are of moderate level, meaning they are neither too easy nor too tough. The college also conducts unit/class tests from time to time. A minimum of 40 percent marks is required to pass.
Other: The computer domain is an emerging and trending field, offering many paid opportunities. The best thing is that we are regularly updated with the changing digital world. The hostel could be expanded to accommodate more candidates. The college has good road and metro connectivity, and there are many clubs and events organized from time to time by departments/students to motivate, provide hands-on experience, and offer knowledge. Many private and government scholarships, especially for SC/ST and girl candidates, are available. The surroundings of the college are good, with markets, hotels, gardens, and malls, which make for a beautiful evening hangout.
