NIFT Mumbai offers a BDes programme at the UG level. It is offered in full-time mode and across several specialisations. The total tuition fee of BDes at NIFT camous Mumbai ranges between INR 5.6 Lacs and INR 13 lakh. 

NIFT 2024 tentatively in the 1st week of November 2023. The application form will open online at niftadmissions. In. NIFT Mumbai follows a thorough screening process for BDes admissions. To commence, students must register and fill out an application form on the institute's official website. Before applying, the students must ensure that they fulfil the eligibility requirements. After that, all applicants must take the NIFT Entrance Exam on the scheduled date and at the scheduled venue.

After that, the admission committee releases a cutoff list. Students who meet the set cutoff are further invited for the counselling round. All students aspiring to take admission must participate in the counselling round. Those who get a seat are then required to report to the institute for verification of documents and payment of fees.

Institute conducts NIFTEE for NIFT Mumbai BDes exam. This exam is divided into General Ability Test (GAT) and Creative Ability Test (CAT). After qualifying, appear for a subsequent Situation Test. Based on NIFTEE scores, students are ranked and allocated a seat. 

NIFTEE 2026 is to be conducted on February 08, 2026. Written tests comprised a General Ability Test (GAT) and a Creative Ability Test (CAT). GAT is mandatory for all candidates, but CAT is only required for B. Des and M. Des candidates.

NIFT Mumbai offers BDes course to students at the UG level. It is offered for 4 years in several specialisations. To be eligible for BDes at National Institute of Fashion and Technology, candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria set by the college. Candidates must be Class 12 passed or equivalent exam from a recognised board.

The allocation of BDes seats at NIFT Mumbai is subject to rules of reservation set by the institute. As per NIFT's reservation policy, 22.5% of the seats are reserved for the admission of SC/ST category students to its BDes course. Out of which, 15% of seats are reserved for SC students and 7.5% are reserved for the admission of ST students.

Yes, the National Institute of Fashion Technology Mumbai reserves a certain amount of seats for candidates belonging to the PwD category. As per the admission guidelines for 2025, five percent of the total seats are reserved for the admission of candidates belonging to the PwD category. Such candidates are required to furnish the proof while reporting for the document verification process. 

The candidate has to select their admission category at the time of filling out the NIFT 2024 application form. The candidate must make sure that they have the requisite valid and verificable certificate supporting their category.

Note that the category selected by a candidate at the time of submitting the application form will be considered as final.

If a candidate selects a reserved category i.e. SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS/PWD but fails to submitted a valid Category Certificate, he or she will be considered for open category seats provided any benefit of relaxed age or income or cut offs has not been availed by the candidate at any stage of the Admission Process. If any benefit has been availed, the candidate’s application will be rejected. 

Also, if a reserve category candidate is considered for open category, then he/she will have to pay the difference in amount of application fee as applicable for open category.
