NIT Meghalaya offers both full-time and part-time PhD programme. The PhD programmes has around eight department which offers multiple area of studies. The departments are namely:

The total seat intake of the MSc at NIT Meghalaya is 60. The seats are distributed among the three specialisations in 20. As per the seat allocation guidelines, candidates must participate in the CCMN counselling for MSc seat allocation. However, if candidates fail to secure seats via the counselling they can opt for the institute mode, which required students to apply vis the NIT Meghalaya’s official website.

NIT Meghalaya doesn't have any direct admissionn option. To apply in the PG courses at NIT Meghalaya candiates must have valid national level entrance scores and participate in the counselling process. However, for the PhD and sponsored courses, candidates can apply via the NIT Meghalaya's official website and appear for the PI/written test.

Yes, if we talk about National Institute of Meghalaya, there are few kind of scholarship available, basically it depends on the category from which you belong .
If you are from SC or ST category you don't need to pay any tuition fee you just have to pay hostel and mess, and apart from that, you will get government scholarship from various scheme as per my knowledge what my friends are getting is around 60-70 thousand per year so from that only you can pay your college fee.
If you are from general or OBC category then it depends on your family income, if your family is making less than 2 Lacs you don't have to pay tuition fees but apart from this you can't get any other scholarship.
If your family income is more that 2 Lacs and less than 6-8 Lacs, I don't know exactly then you have to pay only 1/3 of tuition fee.
