Due to some rude faculty members, students can avoid this college.

Placements: From the current 4th year batch, 100 students have applied for placements, and among them, around 90-95% of students got placed. The highest package offered ranges from 55-60 LPA, and the lowest package is 3.5 LPA. The average package ranges from 9-10 LPA. The top recruiting companies for our course are JSW, GE Healthcare, DE Shaw, etc. Almost all people got internships, but very few of them got on-campus internships. One student got an internship in GE Healthcare. The roles offered are a leader and a futuristic electrical engineer.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of course is okay. It has installed Wi-Fi everywhere. The good quality of the library is there. Labs are also good. But there is a poor infrastructure of hostels like they don't have much amount of room for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year students. According to our CPI, the hostel is allotted. If we fail to get higher CPI then it is very tough for us to do up down from our PGs to college.

Faculty: Some professors are very good in nature but some are very rude. They are well-qualified and they have knowledge too. Some professors don't know how to deliver so it is all up to us to get a good amount of self-study. They conduct industrial visits. Exams are slightly tough, and we can easily pass out if we can start a week before exams. Almost all students pass and very few people fail.

Other: I got into this college through JOSA counseling. I like the course, so I chose it. I just want to improve my imagination skills after that I can feel it more to understand topics. Events are good here as the campus is in the city so there is good connectivity. On campus, there is overall greenery. The inter-NIT sports are held so we can get this experience too.

I am absolutely satisfied because of teachers, infrastructure, campus, placements, etc.

Placements: In my branch, 83% of students get their placements. Overall, 75% of students get placements. The highest package is approximately 65 LPA and the lowest package is 3 LPA. In branches like biotechnology and biomedical engineering, the placement percentage is low and it is approximately 40-50%. Placements in CS, IT, mining, and electrical are good. The college also organises summer internships for students where they can learn new things.

Infrastructure: The college has Wi-Fi facilities, smart classrooms, a very beautiful library with AC, and different types of books. Lab facilities are the best in this institute. Medical facilities are provided with certified doctors and psychologists. There are 3 canteens for all the people. A gym is available. It has different types of sports like cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, carrom, chess, table tennis, kabaddi, kho-kho, badminton, etc.

Faculty: Teachers are highly educated, very helpful, and kind towards students. Their teaching quality is excellent and they are very knowledgeable. Semester exams are not so tough as we can take help from PYQs. 35% is the pass percentage in exams.

Other: I chose this course because I have an interest in civil services. The college's main cultural fest is Eclectika which is held during mid-February. Many fests and events are held in college, and they can be related to the technology business acting, modeling, fashion, etc. The college has different types of clubs and communities for extracurricular activities.

A comprehensive review of NIT Raipur in electrical engineering facilities & campus life.

Placements: Approximately 80% of students have secured job offers as of 24/02/2025. The highest package is 55 LPA, which is Microsoft off-campus. The average package is 10.09 LPA, and the lowest is 3.60 LPA. Top recruiters for electrical engineering students include Sigmoid, Adani, Aditya Birla, JSW, JPL, GMMCO, ZS, ICICI Bank, Reliance, Deloitte, WD, Samsung, Adobe, Hyundai, Oracle, and many more. Only one student has received an internship offer at ServiceNow. Top roles offered include Data Analyst and Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET).

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very poor and old, and classes are conducted in two shifts. Labs are small and outdated. Classrooms are like school days. The Wi-Fi is poor, and the library is small, with a small quantity of books. The hostel is in poor condition, and only a handful of students get a hostel room. Currently, three students live in one room. Bathrooms are cleaned every two days, which is good, but earlier, it used to take months. The food is below average, and we fight to get to Bournvita. There are no sports facilities in the hostel. A dispensary is available.

Faculty: Out of 10, only 2 teachers are helpful. The rest are very supportive but demotivating. Professors from the South are biased and help or give good grades only to South students. They somewhat make students industry-ready, but most of the knowledge is theoretical.

Other: I chose this course because it was the best option I could get from JOSAA. The best thing about the course is that you get a lot of time to prepare for other things. I wish the professor weren’t biased and would participate more in the placement process. Earlier, events were superb, but since last year, professors have taken over control, making events harder to conduct and not supporting students. The crowd is huge for this small place, but the connectivity is good because the campus is situated in the city.

College is not so good, not so bad.

Placements: Placements truly do not depend on college, it depends on individual academic and co-curricular achievements. As one prepares for other government exams might not sit placements that's also one of the reasons for low percentage of treatment but its good in NIT Raipur.

Infrastructure: My hostel life is good so far. People here are good but the food quality is not good. Sports equipment like table tennis and badminton are not well-maintained but they are playable. The Wi-Fi router speed is not so good but it's good in some of the rooms.

Faculty: I go to class every day but I don't understand much. The exam starts up as we get very less time to prepare. People who come by reservations face difficulties in passing the semester exam as they have got college with low marks in general. Exams are not so difficult after all.

It has low infrastructure and few facilities, but it does not mean few placements.

Placements: 92% of students got placed in the Electrical Engineering branch from the 2025 batch. The highest package is 42 LPA off-campus and 19 LPA on-campus. The lowest package is 5 LPA and the average package is 9 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Western Digital, GE Healthcare, Pharmacy, Spine Labs, Sigmoid, Deloitte, Optum, Vedanta, Reliance Industries, and Aditya Birla Group. 10% of students got internships in companies like Western Digital, GE Healthcare, Sigmoid, Spine Labs, and JSPL. The top roles offered by companies are graduate engineering trainee by the core companies, SDE, application engineering analyst, data analyst, and business analyst by non-core companies.

Infrastructure: Facilities available in the college are an academic building, hostels, Wi-Fi, a library, a sports compartment, a basketball court, a volleyball court, a football court, and a cricket ground. Hostels are few, and even only 30% of students from each branch get the hostel, Mess food is not good and the taste is bad. Chapati's are raw with oily food. The breakfast is good and fruits are served mostly along with breakfast. The quality of the Wi-Fi is bad, but very slow. The cricket ground has no grass (but the volleyball and basketball courts are good, so we can enjoy it there).

Faculty: Teachers are helpful but some teachers can't go beyond their bookish knowledge. Teachers taught good quality of education, even my AI-ML cum signal and systems professors are very good in their domain. They are very good at teaching as well as interacting. The electrical engineering course curriculum is relevant. Even this is the branch with the highest number of placements this year and some students are also prepared for the GATE. It makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are difficult, especially in the electrical engineering branch with less lenient checking. The pass percentage is more than 85%.

Other: I choose this course because of my JEE rank but also my interest in Electrical Circuits & Electric Machines. The best part of this course is that the course is very interesting. There are more opportunities in government jobs like PSU through GATE Railways, Industries and also one can go in the non-core role more easily compared to other lower branches. I wish to improve the syllabus of this course. Some courses are very difficult and less important. Some courses are going to be the latest but less taught. Events are good in college but of less budget. Fests are of low budget but enjoyable.
