Critical review of NIT Srinagar
Placements: Placements are good for computer, Enc, electrical but not that good for civil and mechanical as very few are placed in these streams whereas most of the students of computer and electronics are placed in reputed companies across the country and abroad.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure needs a lot improvement. Wi-Fi routers are present in hostels but the service is very poor. The medical unit also has less experienced staff. The labs are functional. There are sports and games facilities in college but very few students are able to take part in them as many are day scholars. The hostels are in okay condition but need improvement. The quality in the canteen is good but it is very costly whereas quality of the hostel mess is not good.
Faculty: The faculty is experienced but they do not come to class that often. Instead, they send some contractual staff thus throwing the future of students in the dark. The course curriculum is old fashioned and need revision. The industry exposure is good in B.Tech but in M.Tech there is no such thing.
