Overall decent college but bad hostel and mess conditions.

Placements: Almost 80% of students were placed in our course. The highest package was 52 LPA, the lowest was 6 LPA, and the average was 13.3 LPA. Top recruiting companies included Amazon, Morgan Stanley, Oracle, Adobe, Optum, and CGI. Almost half of the students got internships in these companies. The top roles offered were software engineer positions.

Infrastructure: The facilities at NIT Patna are decent. The WiFi is not as fast as expected but still helpful. Labs are well-equipped with all the necessary equipment, and classrooms are fitted with ACs and smartboards. The library has almost all the books one could think of. However, the hostel facilities are not great, with triple-sharing rooms that can feel congested. The food quality in the mess is okayish, but the canteen food is better. Medical facilities are very good, but sports facilities are lacking, with only one ground and limited games like chess and indoor table tennis.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, knowledgeable, and highly qualified, with PhDs and similar degrees from reputed institutes worldwide. They teach passionately, and the course curriculum is relevant, offering deep insights into the subjects, making students industry-ready in related fields. Semester exams are reasonable, and following the professors' tips can lead to excellent scores.

Other: I chose this course because it was the best option available at my rank. I believe that better hostel and mess facilities would significantly improve the college. There are many events and fests that I enjoy, and the overall environment is good with plenty of extracurricular activities happening.

College life at NIT Patna: the institute of national importance with the river Ganga on its shore.

Placements: Above 75% of students are placed here, and in my branch, 80-90% of students are placed. The topmost package was 1.62 crores, and the lowest was 4 LPA. The top recruiters are Amazon, JioMart, Paytm, Adani Group, and LnT. The top roles offered are for project manager or developer.

Infrastructure: The classrooms are air-conditioned, and Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus as well as in the hostel. The rooms in the hostel are spacious enough for 3 students to use it properly, with 2 fans, 3 windows, and 3 almiras. The hostel is fully green, and a small playing garden is also present.

Faculty: The teachers here are IIT postgraduates and well knowledgeable, ensuring that students properly understand the material. The course makes the student industry-ready, as there are industrial projects in the 3rd year for students. The semesters here are not very tough or easy, and there is a relative grading system present.

Other: The college has a fantastic history, but it is a little small in size, covering only 30-40 acres of land. The college is situated beside the river Ganga, and the campus is lush green. There are fests like EUROPIA and other technical fests organized in January or February where the students can enjoy themselves.

Short, efficient and beautiful college.

Placements: 90 percent students get placed in national institute of technology. 19.23 LPA is the highest package, 4-5 LPA is the lowest and 7.5-8.5 LPA is average package in this college. L&T and Cred are the top recruiters. 60 to 80 percent students get internships.

Infrastructure: Well established labs, classrooms, Wi-Fi, library and AC, projectors, and digital boards are available. Good facilities are available and food is good in mess and canteen. Average medical facilities are there. Doctors are good and sports facilities are also good.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified. Teaching qualified is very good. Course is curriculum relevant. This college makes the students industry ready. Semesters exams are average and they are pretty tough. Everything is based on the lecturers of that particular semester. Pass percentage depends on lecturers and some lecturers have relatively high grading.

Other: I want to be a civil engineer and want to work in the field and connect with people and best thing about my course is that we can get a government job after it. Events, fest and cultural and technical fests are also good.
