Infrastructure: The Computer Engineering department at RAIT, Navi Mumbai, has modern labs like Mac and Siemens labs, updated hardware/software for AI, ML, and Cybersecurity, spacious AC classrooms, and a resourceful central library. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled and shares with DY Patil University broader facilities like a gym, playgrounds, and reliable medical access with DY Patil Hospital nearby. Hostel facilities exist mainly for girls but are costly, while boys prefer PGs, mess food gets mixed reviews. Sports and recreation are strong, with access to the DY Patil Stadium, gym, and pool. Overall, academic infrastructure is excellent, though hostel/food feedback is average.
Faculty: The Computer Engineering faculty at RAIT is highly qualified, with many holding PhDs, and is approachable, supportive, and interactive. They use smartboards, presentations, and guide projects and research. The curriculum is industry relevant, covering fundamentals along with AI, ML, Data Science, and Cybersecurity. Other: I chose Computer Engineering at RAIT because of my interest in technology, problem-solving, and career opportunities in AI, data Science, and software. The course provides a strong foundation in hardware and software, with labs, projects, and subjects like AI/ML, cybersecurity, and cloud computing. Placements are strong, with students joining reputed IT and product firms. Faculty are supportive, and clubs like IEEE and CSI enhance learning. Fests like Horizons and Infinite Loop, plus a vibrant crowd, make campus life lively. Improvements in canteen facilities, internships, and syllabus updates would make the experience better.

RAIT is one of the best colleges, and I am currently studying here. I'm a proud RAITian.
Placements: In RAIT, there is 100% placement. Every student gets the opportunity to work in their dream job. The highest package offered is 43 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average is 6 LPA across all fields. The most in-demand fields are AIML, Data Science, Cybersecurity, and core IT branches. Nearly 100% of students get internships at various companies like Deloitte, Amazon, and Google Pay.
Infrastructure: Every facility is provided to every student, with delicious mess food on time. RAIT is very clean compared to others. There is 24/7 electricity. The labs are equipped with multiple ACs, and classrooms have digital boards to make learning faster and easier to understand.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They take 3 internal assessments as revision before the semester exams. The exams are difficult, but the way teachers teach ensures you never fail. The course makes us industry-ready, by the end, you just need to revise, and you’ll remember everything. Professors are friendly and clear each doubt.

Good infrastructure with great campus.
Placements: 15 lacs per annum is the highest package in RAIT. 5–6 lacs per annum is an average package that is offered to almost every student. Almost every student gets placed in good company. Overall, many students go for higher studies after bachelors.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are mostly adequate, but most don't have air conditioning. The faculty are average. There is no Wi-Fi for students, and the labs are sufficient. The library is well stocked with books for both academic and general purposes.
Faculty: Computer engineering courses are related to the curriculum and make us ready for industry purposes. Courses provided by colleges are not enough for a student to be placed in higher companies. Students should give their own efforts to placement interviews.
Other: Events and fest are conducted frequently.

I cannot assure you as the cut-off percentile is usually high for computer science. You can try for other branches. You should apply for computer science as well as some other branch because it also depends on the no of seats left after the respective round.

It would be better to prefer IT directly in 2nd year instead of taking admission in 1st year. Computer has a higher cutoff so preferably apply for both but in my opinion 1st year is slightly difficult, so why waste a complete year.
