There is pressure on students. Teachers target students, creating a not-so-good atmosphere.
Placements: Only 10% of students get placed in companies that are not relevant to the course. Placements should be increased that are relevant. Packages are also less than 2 LPA, and many students still don't have jobs. Some companies didn't give offer letters.
Infrastructure: The library and lab are in good condition, but sometimes there are very strict procedures. The canteen food is the worst, and money is wasted while studying there. The infrastructure is a little poor, but comparatively, it is okay. A Wi-Fi connection is not available.
Faculty: Faculty is friendly only if you are a good student or a topper. The curriculum is the worst. Exams are easier to pass. Teachers target students and give them mental pressure, which may lead to anxiety, depression, and more. The management is the one who allows these kinds of activities for their good name in society.

Comprehensive review of S. A Engineering College affiliated with Anna University.
Placements: As for placements, 80 to 90% of students are being placed in top companies around Tamil Nadu. Top companies like Hyundai, Google, and Infosys are recruiting freshers from our college with packages ranging from 6 lakhs to 18 lakhs per annum. There aren't any internship options provided to students from the college side.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college includes a library and laboratories for each available course. There are 3 canteens: 2 for snacks and 1 for lunch. There is also a health center with resting beds and an available nurse and doctor in case of emergencies. The hostel facilities provided here are moderate, and the food isn't appreciably good, even after many complaints raised against the food quality; actions are yet to be taken. There are 2 volleyball courts, 1 tennis court, and 1 basketball court available.
Faculty: The teachers here are highly qualified and are mostly Ph.D. and doctorate holders. The quality of their teaching is wonderful, and they are known for maintaining discipline among students. The subjects provided in the first year are common subjects and only focus on strengthening the basics of engineering for the students. Only from the second year are students provided with course-related resources. So, it takes the student until the third year to become industry-ready. Semesters are created once 5 to 6 months from the previous semesters. The toughness of the exams is moderate, as the questions are set by Anna University. The pass percentage is 30 to 40%, which changes for each semester.

It is a good college for gaining knowledge. It is helpful to get placed in a good company.
Placements: Almost 90% of the students from our course got placed. The highest salary package offered in our course is 4 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 2 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 1.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Amazon and Test And Verification Solutions Ltd visit our campus for placements. Top roles, like manufacturing and design, are offered to the students. About 40% of the students got an internship at Amazon. About 20% of the students got an internship at Test And Verification Solutions Ltd.
Infrastructure: Facilities available in our college are good. Quality of facilities in our hostel is good. Food served is very good. Canteen and medical facilities are also good. Sports and games facilities are very good.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful in encouraging. They are qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes us industry-ready to get placed in good companies.
Other: I have chosen this course because I like microprocessors manufacturing company and the best thing in our course is VLSI. I wish the college should provide the latest technology-based teaching. Events and food fest are conducted in our college. The campus drive is good. Scholarships are available for the students. Extracurricular activities conducted at our college are good.

The college has good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Around 80% of the students are placed in L&T Infotech, Aon Hewitt, and Infosys KPO. The highest salary was five lakhs per annum, and the lowest salary was 1.5 lakhs per annum. The companies like Tech Mahindra, Aspire Systems, L&T Infotech, Zoho, Infosys, Elgi, Flex and much more visited the campus to hire the students. There are different roles offered to the students in the college. Around 60% of the student got an internship. The highest stipend was Rs. 10,000, and the lowest was Rs. 2,000.
Infrastructure: The college is having the Wi-Fi and the smart classrooms. The practical labs have the necessary components. The restrooms are maintained properly. The classrooms are cleaned at the end of the day on a daily basis. They are providing good food at the canteen. They have good and well-maintained hostel buildings. They have a good play zone area like a basketball court, volleyball court, tennis court and soccer court. The auditorium is good and enabled with A/C.
Faculty: The college had many PhD professors, and we have a good faculty to teach. The faculty members are friendly, and discipline should be maintained at the student's side. The faculty helps and guides the students through the projects well and good. They help the student to get copyrights for their student's project. The HODs of the departments are knowledgeable.

Average placement, good infrastructure and faculty, partially strict and value for money.
Placements: The placement rate is 50%. Various IT companies, BPO & marketing companies recruit students. The college brought in some big companies for campus interviews like Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, L&T Infotech, Zoho and many more. I got placed in Capgemini this year along with 62 other students. Also, I got LOI from Capgemini. If you know coding well then SAEC will give you some good opportunities to get placed. Even for the students with arrear, they will give a BPO job for sure. Last year(2016) overall placed students are 600 out of 800+ students.
Infrastructure: Most of the classrooms have smartboards and projectors. Infrastructure-wise, it is a very good college. There are differents blocks for each department. The labs are modernized. Separate UG, PG, and department libraries are available. There is a medical room with bed facility. I f you have an interest in sports then you can have good opportunities. Our basketball team recently went to a national level tournament and became the runner-up. The canteen is good and cheap but not many varieties of dishes are available.
Faculty: Faculties are well-trained. If there is no output from the faculty members, then they are fired. Minimum M.E. is required for being a faculty member. For each department, there are 4 P.hD. holders. They provide good guidance. Right from the lower level staff till the director, everyone is well-qualified. Evening coaching classes are there for students who score marks below 50(4pm-5pm). Xerox copies and notes in the form of mail are provided.
Other: Bus facility is available throughout the city and suburbs. The bus fee varies from 18-25k. The college fee for Anna University students is 50k. For the rest, it is 75k. There are no mess fees. Donation fee might be around 1-2 lakhs. The college is located near Poonamalle in Avadi-poonamalle road. It is located on the main road, so the bus facilities are available. The college is situated inside the city and so traveling is easy. It takes maximum half an hour to travel from the college to CMBT bus stand in a MTC bus.

It is a good college which gave good placements in 2016.
Placements: The placement was okay. About 75% students in my class were placed. The highest salary was about Rs. 35 thousand per month and the lowest was Rs. 10 thousands per month. Many companies visited the campus.
75% percent of students got internships from college.
Infrastructure: Labs, classrooms, library, medical facilities, sports and games all are available in the campus, but there's no wifi facility. The food is good. The hostels are good and spacious. There was no infrastructure related issue. We have yoga class and counselor to advise students. We had parent- teacher meetings.
Faculty: The faculty is really nice to us. The faculty members are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching methods used are the same old ones. They keep retests. We get industry exposure. The curriculum is useful. They tell us about the important questions to read. They make us solve the questions on board.
Other: I really enjoyed in college. The college has greenery. We have freedom in college. They take us on a tour for 4 days. They are good to you. There is no ragging in college. We have a small temple in the college campus. We have other small courses like CDC, other business related courses, automation etc.

Supportive faculty, good labs, average placements.
Placements: The placement percentage has increased in our batch when compared with our senior batch. Approximately, more than 80% of the eligible students are getting placed. Information about off-campus drives is also given. But mostly the placements are not from core side as of now. The value-added programs are organised but the internships are done based on the student's interest. But, the staff guidance will be there. The pay ranges from 11000 per month to 45000 per month.
Infrastructure: The lab facilities are pretty good in my department and meets the requirement of the curriculum. The library has a good range of books which can be borrowed by the students by showing their ID cards. A medical room is available for the emergency purpose, and the college has a football ground, a tennis court, a basketball court and so on. Opportunities will be there but you can practice only in the class hours. Importance is given for classes mostly. The classrooms are spacious and have camera surveillance. But, the quality food in the canteen is not appreciated here. Bus facilities are available on the students' request. The hostel rooms are average.
Faculty: There are well-qualified faculty members present in the college. But making use of the faculty members is totally dependent on the student. Most of them are supportive and encouraging here. Seminars and presentations are done in order to make the students understand better. Still, if they fail to perform well, extra classes are also being conducted. Approximately there is a faculty member for 60 students in my department and it may vary. We were taken to industrial visits each semester by our college. The curriculum is good with respect to scoring marks but learning comes only with the individual interest.
Other: Opportunities for placements in the core department are very minimal. If a regular IT profession placement is enough, then they are offered here. Practical knowledge is lacking here. You will learn your experiments for the exam, but apart from exam point of view, it has to be improved.
