SGSITS into summer from the perspective of a student who just lived 3 years here exploring domains.
Placements: So, mostly this year, what I have seen is that IT and CSE had placements mostly in Goldman Sachs and Oracle, with an average placement of 13-15 LPA. Mostly, 89-93% of students were capable of being placed. Roles include software development, AI engineer, DevOps, product management, financial analyst, and data analyst.
Infrastructure: Labs and everything are excellent, with great faculty and good lab technical support. Wi-Fi is great and works fine, but sometimes it lags a lot. Hostels are average to mid-range, and good for people who don't expect luxury. Sports and games have a separate complex.
Faculty: Everything is great here. Faculty members have Ph.D. degrees, and the majority of our faculty members are GATE rankers, so you can rely on them. The course curriculum is a little bit outdated, but since 2025 onwards, AI is mandatory for every course. Semester exams are mostly theory here.
Other: I would say join clubs in the first year, learn to code in the second year, and develop your character extremely in the third year. If our course had a mini capture-the-flag type hackathon, it would have been better. Many students can't write basic code in the third year. The fest is good for people who want to explore life.

Biomedical branch is also an option for you.
Placements: There are about 305 students placed in my course, and the highest package is about 9 LPA, the lowest is about 1.7 LPA, and the average is about 3 LPA, which is not good. Almost 80% of students got internship opportunities by their own efforts or with the help of the college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of my college is good enough, there is almost every facility available like Wi-Fi, decent labs, and neat and clean classrooms where we can enjoy ourselves. Hostels are also good, mess food is good, and sports facilities are available.
Faculty: Faculty members are also good, they support us. They are highly qualified and worth respect. They are friendly in nature and support us mentally, socially, and academically. The course is also relevant and makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are also average in difficulty level.

My words about my branch.
Placements: Only 30% of students got placed in my course. The highest package is 10 LPA, the lowest is 2 LPA, and the average is 4 LPA, so the data is not good. Only 50% of students got internship opportunities, either by their own efforts or with the help of the college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of my department is above average because almost every facility is available. Wi-Fi facilities are good, and labs are there with proper arrangements. Hostels are below average, in my opinion, because of the mess food, but the sports facilities are very good.
Faculty: Faculty members, in my opinion, are also good. They support us mentally, socially, and academically. They are amazing. We are managing here. They teach us in a very unique way and are highly qualified. The course curriculum is also relevant. Semester exams are average, but still many students face problems.

Review of Shri G. S. Institute of Technology and Science.
Placements: The placement opportunities in my department are average, with very few positions available in the biomedical field. There is limited scope in this branch, yet I chose to pursue it to follow my interests. The highest package is 8 LPA, and the average is around 3 LPA. Only 50% of students secured internship opportunities.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my department is not great, and we can fairly assess it as average. There are few Wi-Fi facilities and no lab arrangements. There is a library that is decent, and the hostels are average. The double-seater rooms come with good sports facilities.
Faculty: The faculty members in my department are above average. We enjoy a good relationship with them and can discuss any problems respectfully. They support us mentally, socially, and academically. The course is quite relevant but not fully relevant and semester exams are easy.

Good placement and faculty.
Placements: I am from the Biomedical branch. The placement record of the BM branch is average, with around 70% of students being placed from the college. The highest package offered in BM is around 17 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average is around 6 LPA. Some top recruiters are Apollo, D-Rev, etc.
Infrastructure: The hostel and infrastructure of the college are below average. The size is very small and located in the middle of the city, involving a lot of traffic. Labs are equipped with modern technology for practical use. Wi-Fi is available all across the campus, but limited amounts are provided. Classrooms are good/decent, as the college was established in the 60s, and have projectors, as well as white-and-green-boards for teaching. The hostel is not good. Food quality is also very poor. Hygiene is maintained. Sports grounds are present all around, including volleyball, cricket, and football.
Faculty: Teachers/Professors are highly qualified and have great experience in their respected fields. The quality of content is way more practical and based on practical knowledge. This makes students industry-ready. The difficulty level of the end semester is moderate to high. The passing CGPA is 5.5.
Other: I have chosen this college because of its placement records as well as its reputation in the technical education field. The best thing about the college is the experienced faculty. The faculty of the college is the best. Also, the library of the college is very impressive, with proper seating and much more. The college hosts many events throughout the year, with an annual fest held in February. There are many clubs and societies, open to all, to promote overall development of the individual.

Overall a good college, with every aspect.
Placements: 97% student placed in my course. The highest package is 8 LPA. The lowest package is 3 LPA. Average package is 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Goldmann Sachs, Principal, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, etc. 78% of students got internship have got internship in Cognizant, Wipro, Principal, Accenture, etc. Top roles are Software Developer, Software Engineer, Business Development Executive, Business Development Associate, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my department is Excellent. My department provides many facilities such as Wi-Fi, Computer Labs, Library are available in my department. The quality of food available in mess and canteen is very good. My college also has a very good badminton and tennis court. My department also has a dispensary.
Faculty: All the professors are Ph.D. qualified, all of them have a friendly nature. My college makes student so ready for industrial work. Practical knowledge is over up to the mark. The semester exams are not much difficult not very easy. There are 2 mid sem test and 1 final exam in a semester.

I'm satisfied with the environment offered by the department to work on skills other than academics.
Placements: About 20% of the students from our course got placed. The highest salary offered is Rs. 1.2 lac per month, while the lowest salary offered is Rs. 26,000 per month. Goldman Sachs, Quantiphi, LTI, Wipro, ZS and biomedical specific companies like D-Rev, Medtronic, etc., visit here for placements. Junior software developer and a graduate trainee are the top roles offered in our course. The highest salary package offered in our course is 23 LPA, while the average salary package offered is 4 LPA -6 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. About 50% of the students got internships at IIT Indore, Principal, Deloitte, Grab and Indore local startups.
Infrastructure: It is a Wi-Fi enabled campus now. Labs and the library have enough books and PCs. Practical labs also have good equipment. The quality of the food served in the mess is good and also in the canteen, and it's clean and hygiene. There is a dispensary in the department. Majorly all sports grounds are available here like cricket, basketball, volleyball, etc.
Faculty: Teachers here are extremely helpful in terms of providing material, support and also attendance. Although teaching quality is not up to the mark, they accept feedback and will be available to clear your doubts. If students plan to go abroad for MS, particularly in research, then it's a good course to opt as the workload is low as compared to other courses. You're able to pursue your passion peacefully. For biomedical, it's not a very good college now as placements providing in biomedical companies are quite low. You should opt for a college in Mumbai or South for biomedical.
Other: I have chosen this course because I got less marks, and I had the choice to change to E&I. But I didn't change. Our department is quite supportive compared to other departments, and I like coding, so I pursued that along with this course. The biomedical department also has good projects, interesting subjects like engineering maths, electrical, electronics and programming compared to E&I. I wish that our college more placement support for biomedical students. Companies should allow students to attend for developers profiles. The campus crowd had degraded a bit due to low cut off. The main advantage of SGSITS is its reputation over central India and connectivity through whole Indore. It's the only good engineering, and it is the only college which is situated in the main city, while the rest of the colleges are located at the outskirts.

College days were the best days of my life as I learnt the best walks of life.
Placements: Cognizant Technology Solutions Ltd. visited our college to offer placements, and I got placed in Cognizant by clearing both technical and HR rounds. Around 212 students got placed along with me. The minimum package offered during my year was 2.89 LPA whereas the highest offered was 10 LPA.
Infrastructure: Labs in our college were well-equipped. Professors were well-knowledgeable, and they helped us throughout the course. Deans and HODs were supportive enough and always encouraged me. The library had all the required books to increase our technical knowledge. There were hostels for both boys and girls within the college.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were qualified and helpful. They provide in-depth knowledge of the subject, and they also provide all the practical and industrial knowledge which is required. The standard teaching methods were used along with the digital classes. We had been given the industrial knowledge. The course curriculum was useful.

Sorry, for every stream in engineering, you should have science with compulsorily added with MATHS in your 10+2. Your PCB will be needed and valid for all pharmaceuticals and medical-related streams (not involving engineering). Hope it helps.
