SIT combines quality education, labs, hostels, and extracurricular opportunities.
Placements: I am from the 2021-2025 batch, pursuing B.E in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering nearly 75-80% of students from our course secured placements through campus drives. The highest package offered was around 12 LPA, average package stood at 5.5 LPA, while the lowest was 3.2 LPA. Top recruiters included Infosys, TCS, Wipro, HCL, Cognizant, and Bosch. About 65% of students also received internships, like TCS, Infosys, and Bosch. The major roles offered were Embedded Engineer, software developer, and VLSI design Engineer.
Infrastructure: Has good infrastructure that supports academics and student life. Classrooms are spacious, clean, and equipped with projectors for interactive learning. Labs are well-maintained and updated, giving students practical exposure along with theory. The library is a highlight, with a wide range of books, e-sources like IEEE and Springer. Wi-Fi works reliably across the campus. Hostiles are comfortable, and mess food is hygienic. Medical facilities are reliable. Sports and extracurricular facilities are good.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are approachable and willing to clarify doubts both during class and after class. The teaching quality is good, combining theory with practical sessions. The course curriculum is reasonably updated and provides a solid foundation in core subjects. While the syllabus prepares students academically, gaining industry-specific skills. Semester exams are moderately challenging. The pass percentage is fairly high, around 85-90% indicating the exams are fair but demand consistent preparation.
Other: I am from the 2025 batch, B.E in Telecommunication Engineering. The best thing about course is structured labs, practical projects, and exposure to modern telecom tools. I wish the curriculum included more industry-oriented electives. Campus life in SIT is lively and engaging. The annual technical and cultural fests are well-organised. Extracurricular activities are actively promoted through clubs for technical projects, robotics, cultural events, and sports.

Good placements and supportive faculty with strong infrastructure.
Placements: In our course, more than 60% of students were placed, with the highest package being 18 LPA, the lowest 3.5 LPA, and an average of 6 LPA. Over 50% of students also secured internships, including off-campus opportunities. Top recruiters included BNP Paribas, Toshiba, and Dish Network, among others. The roles offered were diverse, covering Analyst, Developer, VLSI Engineer, and other domain-specific profiles, providing students with a wide range of career opportunities in both core and IT sectors.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for our course is well-developed, with modern classrooms, fully equipped labs, Wi-Fi connectivity, and access to a rich library that supports both academics and research. The hostel facilities are also good, providing a comfortable stay with clean rooms and necessary amenities. The mess and canteen serve quality food with a decent variety, and medical facilities are readily available for students. In addition, the campus encourages overall development with ample provisions for sports, games, and other recreational activities. Overall, both academic and hostel infrastructure create a supportive environment for learning and growth.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly qualified, knowledgeable, and always supportive, ensuring good teaching quality. The curriculum is very well-structured and industry-relevant, helping students gain the necessary skills and exposure to be career-ready. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty, designed to test both conceptual understanding and practical application, but with regular preparation, they are manageable. The pass percentage in our course has consistently been more than 90%, reflecting both the effectiveness of teaching and the support provided by the department to help students perform well academically.
Other: I chose this course because of my strong interest in technology and the career opportunities it offers. Best things about the course are its industry-relevant curriculum, supportive faculty, and the balance of theory with practical exposure. While everything is good, more collaborations with industries and additional hands-on workshops could make it even better. The campus life is vibrant with various events, fests, and extracurricular activities. The campus surroundings are lively and well-connected, with scholarships and student support systems available to ensure both academic and personal growth.

A good greenery campus, and it is inside the city, so everything is available within the region.
Placements: The percentage of students placed in our course is 40%. The highest package is 15 LPA, and the lowest is 3.3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Texas Instruments and Tata Consultancy Services. We are only taking our own internships, and some of them got on-campus internships. Top roles are analog layout engineering and associate software engineer.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is average, with good facilities for our department. There is a good Wi-Fi connection available, and a good library with lots of books. Good food is provided in the hostel. Good medical facilities, good sports organized, and all types of games are there.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant, and depending on the course, students can be industry-ready if they are interested in the domain. Semester exams and quizzes are difficult to moderate in this college. The pass percentage is around 70%.
Other: I chose this course because of my KCET rank. It offers good course knowledge.

Placements: Completed Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at SIT Tumkur. About 80–85% of my batch got placed, with packages ranging from 4 LPA to 12 LPA, with an average of 6 LPA. Top recruiters are TCS, Infosys, Amazon, and Texas Instruments. Nearly 60% secured internships in companies like Cognizant and Wipro.
Infrastructure: Sports facilities include cricket, football, and volleyball grounds and indoor games like badminton and table tennis. Overall, the combination of good academic infrastructure, hostel comfort, medical care, and extracurricular facilities creates a supportive environment for students. Our course had well-equipped labs, Wi-Fi, a library, and smart classrooms. The hostel offered good food, medical care, sports, and decent facilities. The infrastructure for the Electronics and Telecommunication course at SIT Tumkur is well-developed and student-friendly. The department is equipped with spacious classrooms, projectors, and reliable Wi-Fi connectivity, which makes learning more interactive and accessible.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable, the curriculum was industry-relevant, exams were moderately difficult with a high pass percentage, and overall teaching quality was good. The faculty in the Electronics and Telecommunication department at SIT Tumkur are highly qualified, approachable, and supportive. Most professors hold advanced degrees and have a good blend of teaching and research experience, which makes the classes engaging and insightful. They are always willing to clear doubts and guide students through projects, seminars, and internships. Guest lectures and industry sessions are also organized, which provide additional exposure beyond the course curriculum, which is well structured and regularly updated to align with industry.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in electronics. The best were the labs and exposure. Improvement is needed in placements. Campus is vibrant with fests.

Decent placements and industry exposure, strong academics, and well-maintained infrastructure.
Placements: The percentage of students placed in our course is 40%. The highest package offered is 18 LPA and the lowest is 3 LPA. The top recruiting companies for our course are Texas Instruments, Dish Network, Toshiba, etc. The percentage of students who got internships is around 20% in the companies mentioned above.
Infrastructure: A very good infrastructure along with equipped labs are available. Library facilities are also good. Along with this, the hostel, mess, canteen, and medical facilities are good. Separate departments for sports and games are also there for students' wellbeing.
Faculty: The teachers are well-versed, highly qualified, with great knowledge. The teaching quality is excellent. The curriculum courses are aligned with basic knowledge in the respective field. The difficulty levels are quite high for semester exams.
Other: The course provides the basic knowledge and experience if you want to pursue in core domain. Improvement in the curriculum can enhance the course outcome.

B.E. / B.TechCandidates passed Diploma are not eligible to take the Entrance Test as there are no lateral entry admissions.
B.ArchCandidate who have passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised Institute/ University can also apply. Candidates appearing for 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics in the current year may also provisionally appear for NATA-2023.
