Overall, it is a good college with ample opportunities for freshers.
Placements: Not more than 25-30 students got placed in core companies. Most of the mechanical students got placed in companies like Accenture, TCS, Infosys, etc. The average salary offered ranges between 3.5-4 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 17 LPA for 1 student.
Infrastructure: The hostel and campus infrastructure is good, considering the fact of amounts of students that study each year. Food served in the hostel is worst. They charge separate fees for hostel and mess, which is satisfying. Wi-Fi facility is available on the whole campus, which isn't a lot enjoyable, and it is better to prefer data packs. The library facility is good. Classrooms are average, and about 80% of the projectors are in working condition. Medical and sports facilities are very well-maintained.
Faculty: Staff members are a mixed batch of experienced and young teachers. Overall, faculty members are good. Many experienced teachers left the college due to the current salary issue. The course curriculum is decent, but it is not enough for an individual to prepare for the outside industry. Extra courses for workshops are must for practical knowledge, and it is available on the campus.
Other: I have chosen this course because I had an interest in core branches. The course is just enough for us to understand the concepts and the practicals somewhat help in practical learning. I highly recommend taking active participation in any events or clubs at the college. Fest organised at our college is one of the best fests in Pune. Campus crowd is great, and no such social violence issues are observed here. Extracurricular activities are conducted at our college.

Our college has a really good infrastructure, but it lacks well-qualified staff members.
Placements: In our college, most of the students got placed in IT companies, while the remaining 20% of the students got placed in core companies. About 60%-70% of the students got placed from our college. The highest salary package offered was 6 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 2 LPA. KSB Pumps and Inpro visit here for core branches, and also topmost companies like Accenture and Cognizant visit our college for placements. Graduate engineer trainee role is offered in the core field.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is awesome. In the hostel, Wi-Fi facilities are also available. Facilities provided in our hostel are good. Rooms are spacious, and rack and study tables are also provided. But the quality of the food served in the mess is poor.
Faculty: Most of the teachers here are helpful and well qualified, but some teachers are less knowledgeable and not much helpful. The syllabus here is nearly relevant to the industry level, but it needs some modification. The training is not provided for courses, so students are not 100% ready for the industry.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested in that domain. I suggest that our college should implement automation in our course and also should make changes in the syllabus to make it relevant to industrial application.

Review of Sinhgad College of Engineering - SCOE.
Placements: Till January, more than 100 students got placed in various companies through campus recruitment. The highest salary package offered is 4.5 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 4.25 LPA. Top recruiting MNC companies like Accenture, Tech Mahindra, Cognizant from IT background, Work Media, KSB Pumps and Sanmar Group from core background visited our campus for placements. Roles like graduate engineer trainee is offered to the students. Companies like Atlas Copco and Creat Minda offered an internship for third and final year students with a good stipend. Around 40 students got an internship as per company demand.
Infrastructure: Mechanical department is the most funded department of our college. Even the building looks dull, but the apparatus and equipment are well and up to date. Wi-Fi facility is available, but one has to take permission and pass for it. Department has its own library along with the central library for all students which are good and full of books and daily magazines. Hostels are good only if you're opting mess out because the food is not that good. The hostel has a Wi-Fi facility, but it's waste. There is good and fast medical help available for all hostel students. If you're a sports person, then it is the best option for you. Every year it conducts a various competition for all kinds of sport. It has good infrastructure as per game.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are good and helpful. Our department has 12 PhD holders and more than 30 M.Tech professors from reputed institutes like IITs. College is affiliated to SPPU university, and it follows it's course curriculum. The course curriculum is quite good compares to other universities. One has to prepare themselves for practical skills as a university provides more theoretical knowledge than practical knowledge.
Other: I have chosen this course because it is more related to practical life unlike CS and IT courses which are virtual for understanding. The college lacks only in providing industry knowledge. It should compulsorily provide an industrial internship for all students to make them industry-ready. Our college organises Pune's wildest event named Sinhad Kanrandak, where international artists visit our college and perform.

Review of Singhad College of Engineering.
Placements: The college provides a lot of opportunities in the IT sector, but the core mechanical students have tight competition as every branch of Sinhgad Institute visits the main campus for placements. The process is good, and the training and placement cell cooperates pretty well. They make good use of their contacts, but again, an individual should focus on themselves, so that chances of getting placed would increase.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure. There are separate buildings for CS, E&TC and mechanical branches. There are good options for hostel and food. The blocks of computer science and electronics and communications are well maintained. Computer labs and CAD labs are really good. The practical rooms are average. Projectors are in working condition. The library is the best. The library is located on the fourth floor where you can sit and study.
Faculty: The salary issue of faculty members has made good faculty members leave the institution. Now, poor faculty members teach the students. Sinhgad's standards have come down drastically since 2016. Keep this college as your last option, and don't get fooled by the infrastructure.

It is a good college when compared with the other colleges of similar standards.
Placements: The placements are above average when compared with the other colleges of similar standards. The placements were good enough. The students who were preparing for placements have good chances of getting placed. You should have a good knowledge of the companies that visit our college. For that, the college has a placement cell which has been doing good.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is the best among all the colleges in Pune. As the college is located on the outskirts of the city, the environment is good. The college has planted many trees. Every department is allotted a different building. The canteen and mess are available near the hostels. The library, swimming pool and a gym are available on the campus.
Faculty: The faculty members are good like every other engineering college. 3 out of 5 teaching faculty members are good. As you are in college, you wouldn't find teachers attending to you personally and asking you whether you understand the subject or not. The course curriculum is good. Faculty members complete the syllabus on time.
Other: Our college is known for a fest named Sinhgad Karandak, all over Pune. Our college always remains in winners list in every sport.

Q:   Is Universal Group of Institutions Tier 1 or Tier 2?
ShikshaGPT says
A:

The Universal Group of Institutions is mostly a Tier 2 institution. It was started in the year 2009 as a private college affiliated with the Punjab Technical University, which offers various programs, including but not limited to engineering and management. Though UGI is known for high-quality education and also well-qualified faculty members, national level recognition or prestige is not at par with Tier 1. UGI - provides a sound practical knowledge and skills base, though it certainly does more direct opposition to regional colleges than really with top-class universities.
