Placements: Placements are not only about the highest package. For me, the quality of the role matters too. SGGSCC provides opportunities in areas such as audit, finance, taxation, and business analysis. They can offer a good starting point for a long-term career.

Infrastructure: Sports infrastructure includes dedicated facilities for popular sports. The maintenance staff keeps everything in top condition. Sports athletic meet is very competitive. Sports faculty encourages students to participate in inter college tournaments. They also encourage students to participate in state level tournaments throughout the year.

Faculty: Faculty support and curriculum here have genuinely exceeded expectations for a Delhi University college. Professors are experts who make complex finance concepts accessible and relevant to current practices. Exams are tough but fairly structured and reward students who stay consistent. The pass rate stays at 86%, which reflects well on academic standards and fair evaluation.

Placements: The B.Com experience is not only about classroom learning. Building a resume through internships, competitions, and society work is common here. This helps students become employable by the time they graduate. Students interested in analyst roles should develop strong Excel skills. They should also develop strong analytical skills alongside their degree.

Infrastructure: The hostel common areas have entertainment options with TV and board games, which create a homely atmosphere. The campus has centralized AC, and the canteen has AC available too. The classrooms are also well maintained. A gym and other sports facilities are available too to ensure students' fitness.

Faculty: I have found faculty here to be genuinely helpful, especially when it comes to clarifying doubts before the exams. The curriculum covers a good range of commerce topics with decent industry relevance. Exams are challenging in certain papers but fair overall. The pass percentage usually stays around 82%.

Other: The atmosphere is excellent despite it being an off-campus college. The music & atmosphere are upbeat and energetic. There is a competitive spirit. College feels very professionally oriented.

You may consider it better than Ramjas.

Placements: Good companies definitely come but mostly for average or lower-position roles. PwC, EY, De Shaw, etc., are the top placement companies, but still mostly students pursue Masters or other things hence, can't have an exact idea of placements. 4 LPA-6 LPA is the average package.

Infrastructure: This college has one of the best infrastructures in the whole university, consider it better than Ramjas and KMC. Only a girls' hostel is available. Sports and games facilities are available. Library is genuinely good. The campus might feel a little small.

Faculty: Faculty is good. Course curriculum is not relevant. Teachers are helpful not so strict and teaching is also good. The course is not at all relevant, so if you want to pursue something else like business or something, you may choose that over it. Some teachers are strict, so please choose electives carefully.

Other: If you can compensate for your North Campus life, choose it over Ramjas.

A good balance of academics, career opportunities, and overall personal development.

Placements: Corporate sessions and guest interactions are useful for understanding different industries. Students can ask questions and learn about roles before applying. This makes career decisions more informed. There are enough opportunities around you, but taking initiative is important. Most active students usually make the best use of internships & placements.

Infrastructure: Classroom design follows proper ergonomics. The desk and chair combinations are comfortable for extended periods. The campus Wi-Fi also has guest access options. Visiting family members can connect without issues. The overall infrastructure is pretty great.

Faculty: Faculty support has been solid throughout my time here. Professors are approachable & explain concepts clearly. Curriculum keeps pace with taxation & financial reporting changes reasonably well. Exams are tough but fair. They test real understanding. The pass percentage generally stays above 84%.

Other: Our college staff is very friendly. The food served was awesome. They make the cold coffee on the spot. That is one of the best I have had in the college, at least.

The story and life of SGGSCC.

Placements: The placement cell is very active. Last year, highest package was 24 LPA for B.Com. This is a very impressive record. 55 students were recruited by Deloitte this year. Getting recruited by the Big Four is indeed a big thing itself. I would rate my college placements as 9/10 for being an off-campus college.

Infrastructure: For B.Com, there are various new computer labs for getting practical knowledge. Wi-Fi is available everywhere. There is a huge library. It is multi-storey, and all classrooms are well air-conditioned, hence justifying the fees. The hostel food is good and provided on time. The quality of food in the mess is also good. Medical facilities are also provided.

Faculty: The lectures are pretty much helpful. They helped us gain knowledge of the subject and course. All qualified professionals were enrolled to teach us. Hence, they enhanced the quality of studies. The B.Com course is curriculum-relevant. Studying under those professionals enhanced our knowledge a lot. Semester exams are manageable with constant practice and dedication.

Other: I chose this course because of the high placements involved in it. I am also doing an additional course alongside it, so being in B.Com helps a lot.

The underrated gem of Delhi University.

Placements: I would recommend the college to commerce students looking for value for money. The fee is reasonable. Students still get access to placement opportunities in recognized companies. The salary may differ across roles. But the overall platform is useful.

Infrastructure: The library atmosphere is conducive to study with proper noise control. Students maintain silence zones diligently. The infrastructure as per DU is very good. The campus is green and air-conditioned as well. The infrastructure doesn't lag at SGGSCC. 8/10 for the infrastructure of the college.

Faculty: I have a positive experience with faculty. They are mostly knowledgeable and approachable when you need help. Curriculum stays relevant to industry needs, particularly taxation, auditing, & financial management. Exams need serious preparation. They are not easy, but the difficulty feels reasonable given the syllabus depth. The pass rate ranges around 80–82%. It is a solid choice for commerce students who want real rigour.

Other: The strength is in risk advisory and tax consultancy placements. Renowned MNC firms rely on the comprehensive academic foundation received from our commerce faculty.

Admission Process

Register and Apply
Interested candidates have to register online with required information. Non-refundable online registration fee is a mandate without which candidate’s application would not be considered for further processing. Candidate has to select preferred course at the time of registration, there is no limit on the maximum number of courses in which the candidate can apply and there is no additional fee for applying in multiple courses. Course and College Selection
Cut-off list for each college, course and reservation category would be published on the university portal. Candidates meeting the requisite cut-offs, has to select the desired course and college on DU admission portal.
