SVC organises the largest fest named Nexus.

Placements: Regularly, internship opportunities are provided in SVC, which makes SVC one of the best in South Campus Colleges. Overall placements of Economics (Hons) are around 70 percent. The highest package offered in our course is 13 LPA. Companies like Bain & Company, KPMG, etc., regularly visit our college to recruit students.

Infrastructure: Arts block and science blocks are available, and one more block has been added by our college. Our college definitely is the most modern, and it's not in DU, at least in South Campus for sure. We are one of those rare colleges that also has both boys' and girls' hostels on the campus. There is a Lord Venkateswara Temple at the college entrance, which is the best part of our infrastructure.

Faculty: Faculty members who teach us economics are PhD holders or master's qualified from JNU and Delhi School of Economics. So this makes our course and faculty members among the best. Luckily, the course curriculum is tough, but exams are simple in DU. The pass percentage is always close to 100 percent.

Other: Our campus is unarguably one of the best in Delhi. Our fest named Nexus, is indeed the largest DU fest.

I love my college. I come across the best people, faculty, and good infrastructure.

Placements: As my college is one of the most prestigious colleges in the University of Delhi, it has a decent placement programme. Big companies visit the campus to provide job opportunities and internships to final-year students. For placement, it is important to maintain a good academic record.

Infrastructure: Sri Venkateswara College is one of the few colleges of the University that has hostel facilities for students. My classmate lives in the college hostel, and he is very satisfied with the hostel infrastructure and facilities. Our college is also working on improving the infrastructure more.

Faculty: Teachers in the college are helpful. They make an extra effort to help students as much as possible. I am pursuing Economics, and it is 100% worth it because Economics (Hons) is one of the toughest courses at the University of Delhi. But to do this course, it requires a lot of dedication and hard work. Eco Honours has difficult subjects like MME, Statistics, and Econometrics.

Other: I chose Economics Honors because it is a very career-oriented course, and I also have a lot of interest in economics and trade.

Absolutely satisfied with facilities and crowd but faculty members could be better.

Placements: Around 50-60% of students got placed. The highest salary is 10 LPA. The lowest salary is 2 LPA. Bajaj is a recruiting company. Around 30% of students got internships. Search analyst is the role offered. The job and internships are quite good for my course as this course is very demanding in today's world. Overall, internships offered also depend on the college students' performance in their academic and other goals.

Infrastructure: Labs, classrooms, and library are all well-maintained and clean and we can access them easily. Hostel is quite good, and I have heard good reviews. Food and everything are nice. Basic facilities are good enough to have a standard life there. Moreover, the hostel students are allowed to celebrate different festivals like Diwali and all.

Faculty: My course is quite hard. Passing percentage depends upon the overall performance of the batch. Some teachers are quite helpful even during the exams. They are there to solve the problem and are easily accessible. Last year's papers are good enough to cover a maximum portion of the syllabus.

Other: It provides the best jobs from this graduation course. Exams are easy at least. Nexus is the main and grand fest.

Placements: Almost 30% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 12 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. The top recruiting companies are KPMG, Delloite, and Tata. Many students got internships in companies like KPMG, Deloitte, and Tata. The top roles offered are consultant, risk manager, business assistant, and analyst.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. There are 4 ICT laboratories equipped with laptops and desktops. Classrooms are well-lit with projectors. New library is under construction in this college. The food served in the canteen is good. Medical facilities are good.

Faculty: Professors are helpful in mentoring. They guide us throughout the semester. The course curriculum is relevant but it does not make students ready for the industry. You need to do certain internships in this course. Semester exams are moderately difficult.

It is a very good college with very good faculty members.

Placements: It is a prestigious course in this college. Around 60% of students get placed in this course. The highest salary package offered is 21.5 LPA, the lowest salary package is 3 LPA, and the average salary package is 5.6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are EY, DE Shaw, Decathlon, Deloitte, ABP, etc. The top recruiting company this year is DE Shaw. Around 60-70% of students get internships in our college. The top role offered is a financial analyst.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure of our college are very good. It has one of the biggest libraries with varieties of books. Our college provides good Wi-Fi and a proper lab with equipment. Library work is going on. The hostel is good with proper security and a medical facility. There is a sports club on campus. Our college has the biggest cricket ground, lawn tennis ground, basketball court, badminton court, football ground, table tennis, carrom, chess, etc.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful and well-experienced. Their teaching quality is very good. They teach more about the technology used in industries and market. Semester exams are conducted as per the teaching. Students are hard-working and very enthusiastic. They clear most of the exams.

Other: Our department is average because it is run by students. Our college invites celebrities to the fests. Satya Niketan is one of the biggest hubs in Delhi. Our college has a PG club, a party spot, and a library with attractive surroundings on the north campus. A trip is organised by the hostel.

Placements: 200+ students got placed for the session 2021-22. Highest package offered was 21LPA and the lowest package was 5 LPA . The average package was 10 LPA. Bain, DE Shaw, BCG, Big 4, Accenture are the top companies that recruit students. Roles that were offered to economics hons students were that of analysts, consultants and researchers.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is decent. Free WiFi is available. The labs are functional and have a good capacity. Classrooms are spacious and new block has been constructed which has amazing facilities. The library also is very resourceful. The quality of food is decent. Not variety of food is not very good. There is a badminton court. The football ground is very famous.

Faculty: Teachers are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is brilliant! Not all the subjects in the course are relevant. Some seem to be useless while the others helps in developing skills. Semester exams are pretty easy. Regular efforts can help one pass the examz

Other: The best thing about Economics Honours in SVC is that the placement opportunities are the best for this course. The dedication of the teachers is amazing. Attendance is very strictly followed.

Placements: The students are eligible for campus placement from the third year, before that you can work as an intern in companies visiting the college. The companies are huge and so are their packages. Companies including KPMG, Indigo Airlines, Deloitte, PwC, ZS Associates, Zomato, etc hire students. The highest package stood at 15 LPA with average ranging somewhere between 4-5 LPA.

Infrastructure: The whole college is well-decorated. There are various games and photo corners in the college. The library is easy to access and there are many course-related books, journals, newspapers, and a separate reading room for students to focus and study. The classroom has projectors, which makes learning easier and fun. The best thing about this college is its huge playground, where students play football, cricket, tennis, etc.

Faculty: All the teachers were Ph.D. holders from reputed colleges like JNU and Delhi School of Economics. The teachers were very enthusiastic. They took extra lectures, did extracurricular activities, and sometimes put more effort than any student can ever expect. Though the class strength was 80 students to 1 teacher, we had separate small batches of 10-20 students where teachers interacted individually and solved extra questions with doubt clearing sessions.

Other: I applied for Gargi College under Delhi University before applying for Sri Venkateswara College (Delhi). I chose the latter because in terms of faculty and ranking it outperformed Gargi College. I availed for OBC non-creamy quota and got some benefits by reduced percentage. The minimum marks were based on a cut-off list released by the college and changes every year. Delhi University is merit-based, so right after you complete your class 12, you can apply here. I chose this course because of the diverse range of opportunities it provides after college. The growth is limitless.

Placements: Students can apply for placements if they wish to. Of those who apply, most are placed. The minimum salary package offered was around 4 LPA and the highest salary package offered was around 11 LPA for undergraduate students. In our course, D.E. Shaw, KPMG, McKenzie, etc., for internships. All those who apply get the internships according to their description. Internships are from D.E. Shaw, Hirrey, NGO's, Clear Exam, etc. Top roles after placements are Consultant, Assistant manager, etc.

Infrastructure: There are projectors in every classroom; science labs, well-equipped computer labs and a library are there with Wi-Fi provided. There is an online library as well. Hostel is decent, though there is not any provision for air-conditioning or cooling in summers as of now, but the food is good. There is a reading room equipped with air conditioning. There is a common college ground with various sports courts and grounds, both indoor and outdoor.

Faculty: Teachers are well-equipped with knowledge and do their best to help us. Teachers have either done their PhDs or are pursuing them. Course curriculum is more on the theory side but is relevant. Semester exams are good, not difficult but neither easy. 40% will be scored separately in internals and main papers.

Other: I chose this course because of my interest in it. Best thing is that we get to cover different subjects. There are many festivals organised by different societies and clubs in college. The main event is annual festival. There is coaching provided for outdoor sports. Scholarships are provided, which can be seen on the website.

Register and Apply
Interested candidates have to register online with required information. Non-refundable online registration fee is a mandate without which candidate’s application would not be considered for further processing. Candidate has to select preferred course at the time of registration, there is no limit on the maximum number of courses in which the candidate can apply and there is no additional fee for applying in multiple courses.
