VIT Chennai review from a first-semester student.
Placements: More than 85% of students were placed from here. The highest package was 15 LPA, and the lowest was 1.8 LPA. The average is 8 LPA. Companies include Hero, ITC, Bosch, Reddys, Ashok Leyland, Honda, Ford, Deloitte, Global Analytics, Amazon, Microsoft, etc. From the third year, students receive internships.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good. Wi-Fi in the hostel is available but is a little slow (6 Mbps). The hostel is clean and well maintained. Table tennis and badminton are available in the hostel, and all other sports are available on campus. A health center is there, and the mess food is average.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and have good knowledge in their field. The curriculum feels a bit old. There are three exams in a semester: two small exams and one big one. All three are considered for grading. In the first semester, many students fail. The exam is not hard; if you learn, you can pass.
Other: There are many events, workshops, and seminars conducted. The fest and activities are all fun.

It's flexible enough, but don't have high expectations.
Placements: From what I've heard from my seniors who graduated, placements for B.Com, BBA, and MBA are relatively lower compared to the vast majority of engineering core, who are 100% placed. However, the same cannot be said for us; many don't sit for placements, and the left-out ones settled for a maximum of 3 LPA jobs. MBA has a higher package of an average of 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: Boys' hostel is great with a food court and facilities. They are still improving the girls' hostel. It was strict before, but it has been reduced a little. Room allocation is based purely on your CGPA. The higher you have, the more priority you get in choosing.
Faculty: Courses are good, but a few faculty are good. A few faculty can do much better. Since there's a high-class strength, they can't control students well, but they are all well-qualified. The curriculum can be a little more improved, it can include courses helping in practical knowledge in this field.
Other: Compared to other top colleges for B.Com, we have fun, flexibility, and class competitiveness to thrive and study hard. It's not too strict, and our course timings are shorter than engineering.

Our college is good, and placement you will get just by maintaining your CGPA.
Placements: We are the second batch of our course (Bachelor of Computer Science), so our seniors will go for placements next year only, then we will get to know about the placement of our course, but our curriculum is industry-friendly and it is almost very similar to B.Tech.
Infrastructure: Hostel infrastructure is not very good. Because of common bathrooms, many girls suffer from UTIs, and even the rooms are too small. I'm paying around Rs. 70,000 for the room alone, that too a non-AC room, and it's too small, and you won't get a flat and bed, it's mostly bunk beds, which are comfortable.
Faculty: The faculty of our course is good, they are friendly. You will be provided remedial classes if you don't score good marks, and our curriculum is perfectly fit for the industry, and it makes us industry-ready and is made by industry experts themselves. Pass percentage depends on the class average. However, getting above 40% in finals is a must.

About Vellore Institute of Technology Chennai.
Placements: I am currently in my final year of a B.Tech programme, set to graduate soon. A significant portion of students in our course successfully secured placements, reflecting strong industry demand. The course witnessed diverse offers, with notable variations in compensation packages, ranging from competitive entry-level figures to exceptional offers for high-performing students. Many prestigious companies actively recruited from our course, including leading technology firms, global consulting giants, and prominent multinational corporations. Internship opportunities were abundant, with a large percentage of students gaining experience at renowned organizations, enhancing their practical skills and industry exposure. These internships often translated into pre-placement offers, further boosting the course's career outcome. Common roles offered included positions in software development, data science, cloud computing, consulting, and product management, aligning with the core strengths of the programme and evolving industry trends.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure for our course are excellent, ensuring a conducive learning environment. The department is equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, state-of-the-art labs for research and practical learning, spacious and smart classrooms with audio-visual aids, and a well-stocked library offering a vast collection of books, journals, and digital resources. Additionally, the campus provides ample collaborative space for group projects and discussions. Hostel facilities are well-maintained, offering comfortable rooms with options for single, double, or triple occupancy. The mess provides hygienic and diverse food options, catering to different tastes and preferences, while the canteen offers quick snacks and beverages. Medical facilities include a 24/7 on-campus health center with qualified doctors and ambulance services for emergencies. Sports and recreational facilities are top-notch, featuring well-maintained grounds for football, cricket, and athletics, as well as indoor courts for badminton, table tennis, and basketball. The campus also has a gym and swimming pool to support fitness and well-being.
Faculty: The teachers in the course are highly skilled, experienced, and supportive, fostering a positive learning environment. Their teaching methods are engaging and practical, often incorporating real-world applications and problem-solving approaches. They are approachable for doubts and mentorship, ensuring students gain a strong grasp of concepts. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed to stay relevant to current industry needs, incorporating both foundational knowledge and cutting-edge advancements. It prepares students with the necessary technical and analytical skills to thrive in a professional setting. Internships, projects, and industry collaborations further contribute to making students ready for the workforce. Semester exams strike a balance between theoretical and practical aspects, challenging students to apply their learning effectively. While the exams require consistent effort, the academic support provided ensures that most students perform well and clear the assessments successfully.

Exploring the pros and cons of vit.
Placements: Yahh VIT is known for its placement process only so there will be huge number of comwill be coming. Vit has shown 100 percent placement, and the package is 53lpa the lowest is 3.5 The top company is TCS, Syngene. The top role is Data Analyst. In my class most of the people got internship like 40 members out of 79.
Infrastructure: I am not a in Hostel student But I can tell the hostel will be very good. There will be good Wi-Fi serover the hostel and the quality also very good and. The infrastructure is very good because the campus is way big we can hang out. There is hospital for the students concern. The sports and games will be good.
Faculty: The faculty system here is Ffcs so the student can take the faculty for their course. This will be good for their studies and the exams will be little tough because there will be more situation question not direct questions. The faculty members are all Doctorate so they are very helpful to student.
Other: I chose the course because love Data so opted this one and especially there will be more events which will happen daily all the events will be managed by the students only the faculty will guide them.
