Offers Great education, good placements, amazing infrastructure, stricter rules.
Placements: Heard about many placements offers for departments like, commerce, computer Science. Etc. Placements from Infosys, Cognizant, Zoho, Mahindra bank, kotak bank, Amazon etc. And many were placed. We got an internship programme from hospital and fitness centers for my department.
Infrastructure: Wcc has one of the most beautiful, vintage and aesthetic infrastructure. While a lot of new buildings and labs are also built right now. Our food lab was reconstructed and it's quite neat. A fashion lab was also newly built in our depth. Canteen is good.
Faculty: Most of the staffs are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They are really good at what they do. Faculty quality of teaching might differ from one department to another, but overall it's great. According to me Home Science depth. Has really great staffs.
Other: 1) I chose this college because, firstly my courses are available only in few colleges and from what I have heard, Wcc is one of the best college for my course. 2) I feel for my course, particularly. Everything is really good, from teaching, evaluation, clearing doubts to practical. 3) Talking about fests and events. This college gives more importance to education and academics than to extracurricular and we do have some stricter rules to be followed in the campus BUT we do have events and fests ( sports day, food fest, feb fest etc. )where we enjoy a lot.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   Is WCC a good option?
A:

WCC is known for its dynamic quality of education. It's 100 years of existence is a testimony by itself. It's an autonomous institution. Bagging a seat is quite a task especially at UG level. Once entered, a world of multi dimensions opens up.

As far as bunking is concerned its difficult to get past the security people once inside the campus. So she will have to take leave. But 85% attendance in every subject is a deal breaker. It's important to be cautious. It's not impossible to bunk though if the right tricks are known.

Discipline wise it's all individual values. Anything against the rule book is treated with stern action.

Well I hope I've given you an insight about life in WCC. In a nutshell it's 70:30 ratio of education and extracurriculars for UGs and 90:10 for PGs. Good luck to both of you.
