The GLS Institute of Design Aptitude Test 2022 is scheduled to be held on February 19 and 20, 2022. Candidates will be able to take the exam in both online and offline mode. GLS DAT Exam Pattern 2022

GLS DAT exam will be conducted in both offline and online mode. Candidates are given a duration of two hours to complete the written exam. The exam pattern of GLS Institute of Design DAT is designed to focus on the drawing skills and knowledge of the candidates. The questions asked in GLS DAT 2022 will evaluate the performance of candidate on the following parameters:

• Observation power
• Utilisation of form
• Colour
• Shapes
• Innovative ways to describe objects/environment
• Innovation/imagination
• Drawing skills
• Proportion sense

   

GLS DAT Exam Preparation Tips 

With the exam being around the corner, candidates might be looking for various exam preparation tips to crack GLS DAT 2022 exam.  Below are some of the quick last-minute preparation tips that the candidates can follow:

Focus on syllabus: GLS DAT syllabus has not been specified by the GLS Institute of Design. However, the exam aims to assess the design aptitude of a candidate. Questions asked will be based on Mood, Theme & Colour Inter-relationship, Colour Terminology, Colour Psychology & Optical Illusions, Colour, Pattern & Texture, Inspiration & Design Development, Elements & Principles of Design etc.

Work on your time management skills: As the entrance test is conducted in both online and offline mode, candidates must manage their time according to the mode they have opted for. Candidates must keep a proper strategy to attempt the question paper within the given timeline. If a candidate has opted for offline mode, he/she should reach to the exam centre atleast half an hour before the exam time. Also do not forget to carry the admit card and the photo id proof.  

Give more time to revision: Candidates are advised to revise the syllabus from their notes and the preparation books. Do not prepare new topics at this time as it will be time consuming because then you will have to go through large blocks of texts, which will eat up a lot of your revision time. 

Practice more: As the entrance exam will contain many questions on design related topics practice such questions more as it will be shrpen your drawing and color abilities.
