DJAD Entrance Exam for Design 2026 ( DEED )
DEED 2026 - The DJ Academy of Design, Coimbatore has released the application form for DEED 2026 on its admission portal. The DEED 2026 Application forms are open for registration. The application form is for admission to UG and PG design courses offered at the institute. Candidates who meet DEED 2026 eligibility criteria may apply before the last date. DEED 2026 Application fee is INR 1,500.
DEED 2026 entrance exam will be conducted in two phases. The DEED 2026 Examination will be held offline on the campus. Exam dates will be informed to the candidates individually once the offline exam slots have been allocated. The merit List of provisionally selected candidates will be announced within 5 days after the DEED 2026 Interview.
The question paper of DEED 2026 will evaluate the sketching, visualization and problem-solving ability, along with his or her creativity and sense of understanding. Candidates who qualify in the DEED 2026 exam are called for an online interview. The personal interview will include a work portfolio review round. The final merit list for DEED 2026 will be prepared by giving weightage to 1) the DEED exam and 2) the Personal Interview.

What is DEED?
DJ Academy of Design, Coimbatore, conducts a design entrance exam, DJAD Entrance Exam for Design (DEED), to provide admissions in BDes and MDes courses. Programs offered in the DJ Academy of Design are.
- Bachelor of Design (B. Des) (4 years) is offered in Industrial Design (IND), Communication Design (CND), User Experience Design (UXD), and Animation & Film Making (AFM).
- M.Des program (2 years) is offered in Industrial Design (IND), Communication Design (CND), and User Experience Design (UXD) streams.
Process of DEED 2026
The process of DEED 2026 is given below.
- Go to www.djad.in and register on the admissions portal.
- After registration, fill out the online DEED application form, pay the application fee, and submit the form.
- A confirmation email will be sent to your registered email ID.
- Upload your portfolio through the DJAD admissions portal.

DEED 2026 Application Form
The DJ Academy of Design, Coimbatore, has opened the online application form of DEED 2026. The application is for admission to its UG and PG design courses. The application can be submitted online by following the link given above.
The process to apply for DEED 2026 is given below.
Registration
As part of the application process, the candidate must register by entering their name, email ID, date of birth, category, mobile number, and gender.
OTP Verification
Candidates have to enter the OTP & validate their registered mobile number. After that, they have to verify their email ID.
Fill Online application form
Candidates need to fill out and complete the application form. After that, they had to upload their portfolio and other required documents.
Make Payment
Candidates need to make the payment for the application fee online through the BillDesk Payment Gateway. Candidates can pay the following application fee.

Applications will only be considered if the fee is paid in full. If the fee is not paid, the application form will be rejected, and the candidate will be disqualified. DEED 2026 Admission Process
Candidates seeking admission to the DJ Academy of Design, Coimbatore, have to follow the process as under:
Appear for Online Interview
Admission is offered to candidates based on the scores obtained by them in 10+2 examinations (or equivalent) for BDes and Undergraduation examination for MDes and their performance in the personal interview conducted for assessing their aptitude in Design. During the Personal Interview, the design aptitude of applicants will be evaluated along with their skills in Sketching, Visualization, Creativity, and Sense of understanding & solving problems. The candidates must present a Work Portfolio (Portfolio of their work) to the panel of the selection jury during the Personal Interview. The portfolio could include any creative work done by the student (such as drawings, paintings, photographs, films/ videos made by the student, craftwork, projects, models, etc)
Declaration of result
DEED 2026 merit list of candidates to be provisionally admitted to each course will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the personal interview and work portfolio. The admission will be given based on Merit-cum-Preference.
Pay the admission fee
Successful candidates are given some time to secure their admission by depositing the prescribed fees online along with the necessary documents.
Test Centres: This year, admissions will be given based on an online interview; hence, no test centers will be allocated. However, candidates can go through the DEED test centers list for reference.

DEED Eligibility Criteria 2026
The eligibility criteria for DEED B.Des is given below.
- Candidates must have successfully completed the 12th standard or its equivalent from any stream, recognized by State Boards or Central Boards (such as CBSE, ICSE, etc.), with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. OR
- Candidates who have completed a three-year Diploma with 50% aggregate marks (after 10th Std) from any stream, from an institution recognized by AICTE/State Govt., are also eligible.
- Those currently appearing for or have completed these qualifying examinations before July of the year of admission to B.Des. can apply.
- The candidate’s age should not exceed 22 years as of 31st July in the year of application.
The eligibility Criteria for M.Des is given below.
- Candidate must have an undergraduate degree of minimum 3 years duration in any specialization with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
- Candidate must have a full-time diploma of minimum 4 years duration in Design / Fine Arts / Applied Arts / Architecture with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks, following from any university or institute recognized by law in India.
- Candidate must have passed, appeared for, or be appearing for the Diploma examinations before July of the year of admission.
- Candidate must be more than 20 years of age and less than or equal to 25 years of age as of 31st July of the year of applying.
