Why Biotechnology?
Since childhood, I have not been good in Maths and I have never scored highest marks in my Maths exam. I got 86.2% in Class 10. So, everyone tried to motivate me to choose Biology in Class 11 because they felt that I can easily pass the college entrance exam. Finally, I chose PCB in Class 11 and also chose Maths as an additional subject. I was very bad in Chemistry during Class 11. I didn't understand a single concept at that time. In CUET, I scored 93 percent marks and I scored the least marks in Chemistry. So, I decided to prepare for Chemistry. I appeared again for the CUET exam and secured good marks in all the subjects. To be honest, during Class 12, my dream was to get a seat in NIT Trichy. But, I could not get that college with these marks in CUET. So, I applied for Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology in counseling and got admission in the first round of counseling. After this, we visited the campus and submitted our documents. In this way, the admission process was completed.
I like Biotechnology because, it is a ludicrous field that requires problem-solving, creativity and innovation. The thrill of overcoming complex challenges and the opportunity to create something really unique inspired me to choose this branch.
Evaluating My College
I am doing B.Tech in Biotechnology from Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology for Handicapped, Kanpur. Our college is one of the top colleges in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Our college offers the best learning skills for every branch. They provide everything that a basic Engineering student needs. Our college offers Wi-Fi throughout the college and any student can use it. I started learning computer languages during the pandemic and I found that interesting. I have read the Khuch languages of the computer in my spare time. It was from here that I took my first step towards my graduation. I will give my college a 3.5 out of 5 ratings.
Cultivating Skills and Friendships: A College Reflection
College life has significantly affected my overall development by providing both personal and academic development. It provided an environment where I could explore various perspectives and because of this, I could learn many things. The opportunity to interact with a wide range of subjects and people from different backgrounds improved my cultural awareness and communication skills. It played an important role in my freedom and essential responsibility in managing academics, extra-curricular activities and social life. It also taught me valuable time management and problem-solving skills. College life has been a transformative experience that has affected my personal development. Beyond academics, the social aspect of college life played a key role in shaping my character. The condition of our college hostel is not good as expected. Food quality and taste is not good.
I also learned various programming languages such as Java, C and Python. Apart from coding, I also enjoyed learning new technologies, which made me interested in Machine Learning. I started learning Python in my second year. As per the syllabus Python was added as our subject in the 3rd semester. But I started learning it earlier as I was interested in it.
Apart from studies, I have good friends who were equally interested in cricket as I am. We used to play cricket every day in the evening. We did not miss it even a single day except during rains. This made me physically strong during my first year. We had a lot of fun in the first year but the second year is completely different from the first. We started focusing on our career to get a good job. Currently, our second year has just started, we will see what turn life brings us to. Our motto is to enjoy our college life as it goes.
