IIT Madras incubation cell gets INR 14 crore from Medibuddy founders
MediBuddy’s co-founders Satish Kannan and Enbasekar, both alumnus of IIT Madras, were among the first incubatee of IIT Madras’s incubation cell, which was started as a deep tech incubator in 2013.
The incubation cell of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has received INR 14 crore from a digital healthcare platform, MediBuddy, for its growth and development purpose. MediBuddy’s co-founders Satish Kannan and Enbasekar, both alumnus of IIT Madras, were among the first incubatee of IIT Madras’s incubation cell, which was started as a deep tech incubator in 2013.
The incubation cell of IIT Madras has catered to more than 250 start-ups and helped budding entrepreneurs pave their way, survive and grow in a competitive market environment. The institution aims to create an ecosystem to support the budding entrepreneurs. “The initial INR 5 lakh that was given by IIT Madras helped us get started,” said Satish Kannan, co-founder and chief executive officer of MediBuddy.
IIT Madras Research Park launches book
The IITM Research Park (IITMRP) in association with IIT Madras and the IITM Alumni Association (IITMAA) has launched a book ‘The IITM Nexus’, tracing the inspiring journey of 16 IIT Madras entrepreneurs alumni spanning across five decades and their rise towards becoming some of the country’s biggest entrepreneurial successes.

No—if you scored 44 when the cutoff is 45 in JEE Main, you would not qualify for JEE Advanced. Without qualifying JEE Advanced, admission to Indian Institute of Technology Madras is not possible, since IITs admit students only through that route.
