So, I decided to get into an NIT. I was curious about operating systems and wanted to explore it more. So, I chose Computer Science as my specialization. Considering my rank and various other aspects I chose NIT, Andhra Pradesh.

Before my secondary education, I hated Mathematics. As I entered my secondary education, I was blessed to have great mentors who guided me in the right direction. Soon, I started enjoying solving problems of Mathematics and Physics. I was never interested in learning the scientific names in Biology. Parallelly the advancement in technology also attracted me and I got eager to know more about it.
By the end of my secondary schooling, Mathematics and Physics became my favourite subjects. So, I decided to take PCM as my core topics in 11th and 12th standard which helped me to get into engineering. Most engineering aspirants focus on JEE Main, JEE Advanced, while others focus on state entrance exams like EAMCET. I went for JEE Main as I wished to get into IIT.
To be honest I was not much aware of NITs and their criteria of admission and number of seats in each branch. I got a good score in JEE Main but my score was not very high in JEE Advanced as I was able to only qualify it. So, I decided to get into an NIT. I was curious about operating systems and wanted to explore it more. So, I chose Computer Science as my specialization. Considering my rank and various other aspects I chose NIT, Andhra Pradesh.
I had aimed to get into either one of the IITs or one of the NITs. So, I gave the JEE Main and JEE Advanced entrance exams that are required to get admission in both NIT and IIT. There are many universities considering JEE Main and Advanced score to get admission for interested candidates. My coaching institute tried to give all the appropriate knowledge to crack the exam. But I was confused about a few topics (especially chemistry) so, I followed some online resources for better understanding. In addition to JEE Main, I also registered for the entrance exams of some deemed universities.
Weekend assessments and mock tests helped me to improve my speed in problem-solving and also enhance my time management skill. Finally, after a long battle with chemistry, I gave JEE Main and got a good score. After JEE Main, I gave JEE Advanced and qualified it but was not able to get CSE in IIT.
I was also interested in Computer Science Engineering. So, I researched various NITs where I could get admission based on my rank. Some of them were NIT Kurukshetra, NIT Durgapur, NIT Raipur, NIT Andhra Pradesh. Taking many aspects into account, I decided to get registered for CSE in NIT Andhra Pradesh.
When I entered college it was under construction stage. Our batch is the first batch of this college enjoying both classes and hostel at the permanent campus. Initially, the college organized an induction programme for 20 days which helped me to build a bond with my peers and inculcate to the ethos and culture of the institution. During the induction program, I came across many students who had abundant knowledge about technology. In college, I got the opportunity to engage myself in constructive things.
I attend my classes regularly and try not to confine myself to only books. I try to explore more about the topics of my interest and if needed get enrolled in an online course to gain a grip on them. To develop my technical knowledge I focus more on my soft skills and try to utilize all the opportunities offered by my college.
I enjoy weekends with my friends and also spend time to find the right internship which would help me to gain work experience, confidence and create an edge in the job market. I am not a part of any club and spend most of my college time with my friends. I have met a lot of people in college with different talents and skills. Earlier I had confined myself to a very few people here but soon I started interacting with more people to enhance my communication skill.
Coming to college completely transformed my thought process. In 11th and 12th class, I was a bookworm but after coming to college I realized that I should not confine myself to books only. I need to work hard to develop my skills to deal with things professionally. I know that the days spent in college are going to be memorable for me all my life and this experience is going to play an important role for me in achieving my goals.

No, you will not be able to get MSc in Data Science if you belong to the General, OBC, ST or the EWS categories, as the NIT Andhra Pradesh CCMN Cutoff 2025 was much lower than 7K.

However, ST AI category students can get admission, as the last round cutoff was 7025.
