It is important to focus on your 12th exams as by preparing well for your boards you are getting ready for JEE.

At the time when I started preparing for JEE Main, I found it tough to manage studies for my board exams as well as the entrance exam. I figured out what are the best practices that I could manage to put to use during my preparation.

So now I will answer the absolute most well-known inquiries among understudies in the choosing time of loads up and JEE.

Time is key

Time is one of the significant factors when preparing for JEE Main. Begin your preparation with the subjects that you are good at. Then move on to subjects that you need to be better at.

Also, during your preparations, focus on some of the important and most scoring subjects. Attempt most of the questions from the most scoring questions. If you score around 90 in your preferred subject, 60-70 in second one and 40-50 in the least favoured then you are likely to hit the 200 mark. This is considered to be a good score.

Try attempting questions that you need to improve in. In the first round, pick simple questions, followed by moderate ones in the second and keep the toughest ones for the last.

Strategise the subjects

In Maths, quadratic equations, matrices and determinants, LCD, co-ordinate geometry (least demanding, yet some were bit precarious in 2017), 3D and vectors (simply dependent on barely any recipes), are some of the topics you must study.

In Physics, mechanics, SHM and sound waves, thermodynamics, current electricity, wave and geometrical optics, modern Physics and semiconductors are some of the most scoring subjects.

In Chemistry, one of the most scoring subjects, focus on Mole Concept, States of Matter and Atomic Structure, Equilibrium, Classification, Co-appointment Compounds, Organic Chemistry and Polymers.

Follow a study plan

  • Do not study anything new in the last few weeks. Revision is the best thing to do.
  • Solve previous years’ question papers as you can, you will wind up scoring 20–25 more in Maths and material science.
  • Solve one full test every day.
  • Revise the notes.

Sync between Class 12th & JEE preparation

  • Before drawing the preparation plan, it is important to schedule your day for both CBSE and JEE Main. While your board preparation are limited to Class 12th, JEE Main also includes Class 11th course.
  • Experts suggest that you should focus on your Class 12th studies before you begin your JEE Main preparations. This leaves them discouraged and de-inspired for further examinations. Study questions that come in CBSE exams to prepare for JEE. Although questions in JEE could be harder, CBSE question papers allow you to apply the correct techniques.
  • Since the subjects of CBSE and JEE are similar, the students should utilise it. Get ready for CBSE by focusing on the essentials and then move to the numericals. This will help you in JEE test planning.
  • Divide your topics in three categories, including weak, not-so-strong and strong. Do it separately for CBSE and JEE.

By preparing well for CBSE, you are simply getting ready for your JEE tests. All you have to have is a correct system. Most importantly, study the subjects independently for CBSE and JEE. Keep them isolated, regardless that they are similar.

One week to go

  • Make a sorted out plan and stick to it by buckling down.
  • Know essential information like the assessment focus, the example and structure, marks dispersion, timings, rules and regulations, syllabus, etc.
  • Take as many mock tests as you can and comprehend a plenty of earlier years’ question papers to know whether you are totally prepared.
  • Revise all your notes and significant points altogether.
  • Focus on your wellbeing. Eat well nourishment and keep yourself sufficiently hydrated.
