UPSEE 2020 student reaction and exam analysis

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow has concluded the UPSEE (Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination) 2020 on September 20. The exam was held in the offline mode in different shifts for various courses at 57 cities across India. The authorities had arranged for COVID-19 precautionary measures to ensure the safety of all students and staff. Shiksha covered the entrance exam from a test centre in Uttar Pradesh for Paper 1 (BTech) that was held in the second shift of the day i.e. from 12 noon to 3 pm.
UPSEE 2020 Paper 1 for BE/BTech course is a three-hour-long offline test having 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQ). The question paper of UPSEE 2020 consists of three sections: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Due to COVID-19 spread, proper social distancing was maintained at each of the exam centres to avoid overcrowding. The test centre gates were kept closed, and only candidates reporting to the test centre were allowed entry. Once the exam got over at 3 pm, candidates were allowed to move out in an orderly manner, one student at a time. Students followed safety protocols by wearing masks and following social distancing at the exam centres.

UPSEE 2020 Students Reaction and Reviews
Most of the students who took the exam found the UPSEE 2020 paper 1 (BTech) was easier than JEE Main 2020 September and BITSAT 2020 examinations. The overall was difficulty level was of moderate level. However, few students said that Mathematics was tough and for some Chemistry and Physics paper was difficult. Students told Shiksha that the question paper could be easily attempted within the three hours as the questions were straight forward and not tricky. Piyush Sharma who took the test said that the UPSEE 2020 paper was easier than the other entrance tests. He also appeared in BITSAT and JEE Main exam. According to him, the Chemistry section was easier than Physics and Mathematics.
Another UPSEE 2020 aspirant, Priyanshi, found the overall paper was of moderate level but Chemistry question paper was tough among the three subjects. However, according to her, if students have studied properly they could easily clear the test.
Priya who took the test today found the paper was easy if compared to other entrance examinations. According to her, the Mathematics subject was difficult and lengthy but could be completed easily within the given time frame. She also mentioned that she got enough time to prepare for the examination due to the COVID-19 lockdown and postponement of the exam and therefore she is expecting good scores.
Rohan, another aspirant, told that Chemistry and Mathematics was the easiest section. Physics was of JEE Main level. The overall paper was moderate in terms of difficulty level. He said that one can easily attempt all the questions in three hours.
