Overview

Assam CEE Exam Centres 2026: ASTU has released Assam CEE 2026 exam centres list at astu.ac.in. Candidates will be able to check list of cities where entrance exam will be held through Assam CEE centres. To select preferred exam cities, candidates had to submit their choices during Assam CEE 2026 registration. Since exam centres will be allotted according to submitted order of preference, they had to be careful while making their choice. Once preferences are submitted, it cannot be changed.

Allotment of Assam CEE 2026 exam centres will be done according to preferences and availability. The details of allotted centres will be available through Assam CEE admit card 2026. Q:   How is Assam CEE centre allocated?
A: 

While filling online Assam CEE application form, candidates will have to select their choice of exam cities. According to order of preferences, Assam CEE exam centre will be allocated.

Q:   Where will Assam CEE be held?
A: 

Authorities will conduct Assam CEE at various cities across state. Exam centres will be located in nine cities, Guwahati, Jorhat, Nagaon, Dibrugarh, Silchar, Bongaigaon, Lakhimpur, Tezpur and Nalbari. While filling Assam CEE application form, candidates will be able to select their preferred exam cities. As per preferences, authorities will allot Assam CEE exam centres and candidates will be able to check it on admit card.

Q:   Will the exam authorities arrange for travel and accommodation if the Assam CEE centre is not located in my city?
A: 

Authorities will not be responsible for any candidate's travel and accommodation if Assam CEE centre is not located in their city. They will have to make their own arrangements for travel and accommodation during examination. Candidates are advised to visit centre before examination date to become familiar with route and to avoid getting lost.

Important points of Assam CEE 2026 exam centres

  • At time of registration, candidates are required to select their choice of exam cities from list of options given.
  • Once order of exam cities selected is submitted, they will not be able to make any changes.
  • It is important to submit correct order of preference.
  • ASTU will have right to add or remove exam centres in case any situation arises.
  • Assam CEE 2026 hall ticket will consist of details regarding allotted exam centre address.
  • After centres are allotted, they will not accept any requests to make changes.

Q:   What is the duration of Assam CEE?
A: 

Assam CEE exam pattern will be released online. Examination will be of 3 hours. During exam, candidates will have to answer 120 objective questions. No extra time will be given to candidates to complete examination.

Q:   I am not satisfied with my allotted Assam CEE centre. Can I request for a change?
A: 

No. Candidates will not able to request for a change of their allotted Assam CEE centre after it is submitted and allotted on the admit card. It is to be noted that the authorities will not accept any requests for change in allotted centres. Therefore, the candidate sare were advised to be careful while selecting their exam city preferences during the Assam CEE 2025 registration process. On the examination date, the candidates will have to make their arrangements to reach the allotted Assam CEE exam centre on time.

Q:   Will the Assam CEE centres allow me to deposit my personal belongings like bags, wallets, mobile phones, etc. outside the exam hall?
A: 

Candidates should allow their guardians or companions to keep their personal belongings. If they do not have anyone to accompany them who can take care of their belongings, then they may request  Assam CEE centre authorities to deposit personal belongings for test duration. However, authorities will not be responsible for any loss of belongings.

Assam CEE 2026 Admit Card

Assam CEE 2026 admit card is released online at astu.ac.in. To download Assam CEE hall ticket 2026, candidates will have to log in with their required credentials. No other mode will be used to release Assam CEE hall ticket. Through admit card, they can check important information such as their allotted date, centre, timings, guidelines and more. While reporting to their allotted centre, candidates will have to bring their hall ticket along with one original valid identity proof for verification. Without these documents, they will not be allowed to enter the centre. Once exam centres are allotted through admit card, it cannot be changed.

Q:   When should I start preparing for Assam CEE?
A: 

Assam CEE preparation should start as soon as possible. Students should prepare for Assam CEE early to complete syllabus. If students complete their syllabus early, they will get more time to practice mock tests and sample papers.

Q:   Along with the Assam CEE Admit Card, what are the other documents that I need to carry to the test centre?
A: 

At the exam centres, candidates will have to bring their Assam CEE admit card and one identity proof with them. Some of the valid identity proofs that candidates can carry are Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, PAN Card, Student ID, Passport or any Government issued identity proof.

Q:   What if I forget to carry the Assam CEE admit card to the exam centre?
A: 

If candidates fail to bring Assam CEE admit card at the centre, then exam authorities will not allow them to appear for test. Candidates should print out and take admit card to the centre. Along with admit card, candidates should also bring their photo identity proof at centre.

Q:   Will I be allowed to carry a water bottle or eatables inside the Assam CEE exam centre?
A: 

No. Candidates will not be allowed to carry a water bottle or eatables inside the Assam CEE exam centres. During the security process, the candidates will be checked and prohibited items will be taken away. Along with water bottle and eatables, the candidates will not be allowed to take electronic devices such as mobile phone, calculator and more inside the exam centre. Candidates are advised to check the Assam CEE exam day guidelines to know more about what will be allowed and not at the exam centres.

Q:   How can I choose my preferred Assam CEE exam centre?
A: 

Candidates will have to select their preferred Assam CEE exam cities in application form. They will be able to select three exam cities in order of preference. Based on preferences, candidates will be given their Assam CEE exam centre. Authorities will not accept any requests for change in Assam CEE exam centre.

Q:   Will there be a waiting area for parents or friends accompanying candidates during the exam at the Assam CEE centre?
A: 

No. The Assam CEE authorities do not provide a waiting area of any accomodation to the candidate's parents or companions during the examination. They will be required to wait outside the examination centre while the examination is ongoing. The guardians are advised to leave the centre after the examination commences and to come back later after the exam is over. This will lessen the chances of overcrowding and the authorities will be able to efficiently control the centre.
