Tie Breaking Guidelines for GCET/Goa BE Admission 2025 Result/Merit List

If two or more candidates have secured the same JEE Main 2025 rank, then the listed guidelines will be followed (in the given order) to resolve the tie:

Candidates who score better in mathematics will be given a higher rank.
In case the marks of the two candidates are the same in Mathematics, then a better score in Chemistry is used to break the tie.
If there is still a tie, then the candidate with the highest aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics will be given a higher rank.
If all the above steps do not break the tie, then the candidate with more marks in the 12th standard qualifying examination in Mathematics will be allotted a higher rank.
If the tie remains, then the older candidate will be allotted a higher rank on the merit list.
