MHT CET 2026 Dates: Maharashtra CET Cell conducted the MHT CET 2026 exam in two sessions. Candidates can check the group-wise exam dates below.

  • Session 1: April 11 to 26 (PCM-> April 11 to 20; PCB-> April 21 to 26).
  • Session 2: May 10 to 21 (PCM-> May 12 to 21; PCB-> May 10 & 11).

CET Cell issued the final MHT CET 2026 answer key for 1st attempt PCM & 2nd attempt PCB group on May 30. The challenge window for the MHT CET 2nd attempt PCM answer key concluded on May 30. The authorities will now consider all the objections to prepare the final answer key. The results will then be prepared based on the final key.

Those who seek engineering and pharmacy admission through MHT CET 2026 can check the schedule for all events here. This year onwards, MHT CET was conducted in two sessions, similar to the national-level JEE Mains exam.

The State Common Entrance Test Cell released the final MHT CET 2026 answer key for session 1 PCM and session 2 PCB group on May 30. The provisional MHT CET 2026 PCM answer key for session 2, response sheet and challenge window was available till May 30. During this time, candidates were allowed to raise objections to the provisional key by paying the fee and uploading supporting documents. The authorities will now prepare the final MHT CET 2026 answer key by considering the valid objections received. The results will be prepared as per the final MHT CET answer key.

Q:   Can I raise objection in MHT CET final answer key?

The facility to raise objections is not provided for the final answer key. Candidates are advised to check thoroughly the provisional answer key and raise objections in the provisional key only, if they have any doubt to the answer provided by the CET Cell. The facility to challenge MHT CET provisional answer key will be open after the CET Cell releases the key. The challenge facility will be open for a period of 2-3 days.

Q:   How to raise objections in MHT CET answer key?
A: 

The facility to raise objections in MHT CET answer key is opened once the official answer key is released by the CET Cell. Candidates need to login to the official website mahacet.org using their registered email ID and password for raising the objection.

After login, candidates will see the answers to all the questions given and the answer marked by the candidate. If any candidate wish to raise the objection to any official answer, they need to select the respective answer and click on the raise a dispute option. Candidates also have to pay INR 1000 per question as fees for raising the objection.

MHT CET 2026 Result Date

The Maharashtra CET cell will announce the MHT CET result 2026 on the official website - cetcell.mahacet.org. Candidates have to log in using their email ID and password to check MHT CET result. Details about the percentile score of individual subjects and the aggregate percentile score are mentioned in the scorecard. Right now, it is not yet clear if the authorities will release the MHT CET results separately for both attempts. There are chances the CET Cell might announce the results separately, keeping in line with JEE Mains pattern.

Q:   How is MHT CET Merit list prepared?

Merit list of MHT CET is prepared considering class 12 marks and CET in 50:50 ratio. The position of candidates in the merit list will be based on marks obtained by adding the MHT CET and class 12 marks. The merit position will be the All India Rank of candidates which will be considered for the allotment of seats.

Q:   What details will be mentioned on the MHT CET result scorecard?

The scorecard of MHT CET will have details of percentile score in the exam and basic details of the candidates. Candidates can check their subject-wise marks, the total aggregate score, rank secured and qualifying status through MHT CET 2026 result.

MHT CET Counselling Dates 2026

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell starts the MHT CET 2026 counselling in June. The counselling will be conducted online in three or four rounds. Registration for the counselling will open in June. After registration, CET Cell will release the merit list with details of the All India rank of candidates. The allotment of seats will be done based on the MHT CET merit list. The CET Cell will organise separate counselling for J&K and Ladakh candidates.

Higher and Technical Education department in the year 2023 announced that 50:50 weightage will be given to CET score and Class 12th marks for admission to undergraduate professional courses in Maharashtra state from the academic session 2023-24. As per this criteria, marks of class 12 and MHT CET will be considered for preparing the merit list in 50:50 ratio. Only those candidates who will have their names in the merit list will be considered for admisison.

MHT CET Application Form Date

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, conducted a special MHT CET registration 2026 for the second attempt on April 23. Candidates who missed applying earlier were able to apply for the PCM or PCB groups by paying a late fee of Rs 500. To apply for the exam, candidates had to register on the CET portal with their APAAR ID or Aadhaar details. After registration, students were able to fill the application form and select the CET they want to apply for. Moreover, candidates had to fill in the choices of exam centre and pay the MHT CET application fee. Those who completed the MHT CET registration as per the deadline are issued the admit card to appear in the exam.

MHT CET 2026 Application Form Correction Date

The MHT CET form correction window was activated on the official website, cetcell.mahacet.org. Registered candidates were able to make edits to their application forms between March 5 and 7. Candidates were able to make changes only to a few fields. Moreover, students were given the option to add a subject group or apply for the MHT CET second attempt scheduled in May during the correction period itself.

The authority has issued the provisional MHT CET hall ticket for the second attempt. The MHT CET provisional hall ticket 2026 for the PCM group was released on May 5 and for the PCB group, it was released on May 4. The provisional admit card or the MHT CET city slip mentions the candidate's allotted exam date, time and city.

The final MHT CET 2026 hall ticket for PCB was issued on May 6 and for the PCM group, it was issued on May 7. Candidates can download the MHT CET 2026 admit card from the website, cetcell.mahacet.org, using their email ID and password.

Yes, MHT CET is similar to JEE Mains in difficulty level, as per the exam conducting authority. However, the syllabus of MHT CET is less in comparison to JEE Mains. In MHT CET, class 12 complete syllabus and only a few topics of class 11 is asked whereas JEE Mains consists all topics of class 11 and 12 syllabus.

Q:   Can I fill MHT CET application form using my mobile?

If candidates do not have a laptop/computer, they can visit the computer centres in market for filling the MHT CET 2026 application form. Students can begin by checking the topics that is covered in both school and MHT CET and give special attention to them. For all three subjects, study NCERT and also take help from reference books. Understand the concepts thoroughly and solve numerical problems. To crack MHT CET along with class 12, students should devote at least 2-3 hours for CET beside class 12 studies. Regularly solve MHT CET mock test and solve previous year question papers to evaluate the performance.

Q:   How can I prepare for MHT CET without coaching?
A: 

Taking help of coaching is not necessarily required for clearing the MHT CET exam. Many students score good marks in MHT CET by self-studying, without help from coaching. To crack MHT CET without coaching, students need to make a study plan considering the time they have before exam.

Students can take help of online tutorials and videos from previous year toppers who have cleared the exam without coaching to understand their strategy. One thing that is required when students are not taking coaching is regular study.

Make a daily time table of study and devote at least 5-6 hours for MHT CET preparation. Students who are in class 11 or 12 can give 3-4 hours specifically for CET beside school studies. Students who have passed class 12 should also study at least 6 hours daily.
