JEE Mains 2026 Dates Session 1 & 2: The National Testing Agency has released the JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam dates at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The session 1 exam for paper 1 will be held on January 21, 22, 23, 24 and 28. The paper 2 exam will be held on January 29. Further, NTA has also issued the JEE Main 2026 session 1 city intimation slip.

The JEE Main 2026 admit card release date is expected on January 17 or 18. The official release date of the hall ticket will be announced by NTA in due course.

Further, NTA has asked the candidates who have registered for JEE Main 2026 with identity proof other than the Aadhaar Card/DigiLocker to upload a photo verification certificate by January 15.

JEE Main 2026 Admit Card Release Date & City Intimation Slip (OUT)

JEE Main City Intimation Slip 2026 Date: NTA has released the JEE Main City Intimation Slip 2026 at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The city intimation slip mentions details of the exam date and exam city of the candidate. Candidates must note that the exam city slip is different from admit card.

Note that NTA is not going to change the JEE Main exam date 2026 for session 1 under any condition. NTA has clarified via the FAQs that, even if there is a clash with other state or national level entrance exams, the JEE Main 2026 exam date will not be changed.

JEE Main Admit Card 2026 Date: The NTA JEE Main Admit Card will be released by NTA on the official website, 3 to 4 days before the exam date. Candidates who successfully submit their application are issued the hall ticket, which they can download and carry to the exam centre on the day of the JEE Main 2026 exam. Along with the hall ticket of JEE Main candidates will also have to carry their valid photo ID proof, such as admit card, voter ID, PAN card or driving license, one passport-size photo (the same photo uploaded in the application form). First, the exam body will release the JEE Main city intimation, which will be followed by the admit card. Once the exam is conducted, NTA will release the provisional JEE Main Answer Key on the official website. Along with the provisional JEE answer key, NTA JEE Mains Response Sheet and question paper have also been released. First, NTA releases the JEE Main provisional Answer Key PDF and candidates can challenge the it for 2 days by submitting their grievance if they have any objection. JEE Main Counselling 2026 Date

Joint Seat Allocation authority (JoSAA) conducts JEE Main counselling for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Candidates who appear in JEE Main are eligible to participate in counselling for admission to all participating institutes of JoSAA through JEE Main scores. To participate in counselling, candidates have to register online on JoSAA website and fill choices of their preferred institutes and branches. Candidates must go through JoSAA eligibility criteria before appearing in the counselling process. Candidates allotted seats through JoSAA counselling have to confirm their admission online and deposit the fees as per dates mentioned in provisional allotment letter.
