Bihar STET exam pattern 2025 is prescribed by the BSEB in the official notification. Bihar STET exam will be conducted online on several days and shifts for two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2. Bihar STET Paper 1 is for the candidates who are preparing for the secondary level and Paper 2 is for those who want to join as a teacher at the higher-secondary level. Both the exams have a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes and each paper carries 150 marks.

There is no negative marking in the exam for any incorrect answer or unattempted question in the BSEB STET exam.

Q:   Is Bihar STET conducted online or offline?

Bihar STET exam is conducted online in computer-based test (CBT) mode. In the exam, candidates need to mark their answers on the allotted computer screens. Candidates need to complete the exam in two hours and thirty minutes. The Bihar STET exam is organised to determine the eligibility of candidates as Secondary and Higher Secondary level teachers in Bihar schools. 

Q:   What is the duration of Bihar STET exam?
A: 

Bihar STET exam is of 150 minutes (two and a half hours) duration. The candidates have to take the complete exam at the exam centres and under no circumstances candidates can leave the exam centre on their own will. The invigilator is responsible for the exam centre and without their permission no one will be allowed to leave the exam centre before the exam is over. However, the invigilator can allow the candidates to leave the centre in between the exam in special circumstances.

Q:   How many sections are there in Bihar STET Paper 2?
A: 

Bihar STET Paper 2 contains two sections - Subject related paper and teaching ability and other knowledge (GK, Reasoning). The candidates have to prepare for the Bihar STET paper 2 exam thoroughly to qualify for the exam with high scores. The candidates are advised to go through the sections and analyse it to find out the easy and difficult points in the sections. After sorting the sections weak and difficult areas, the candidates have to divide the section topics in the time table accordingly to prepare for the exam. 

Q:   What is the syllabus of the Bihar STET Exam?

  • Language- English/ Hindi/ Urdu/ Sanskrit: The questions will be asked from the topics studied at Graduation and Higher Secondary levels. Basic language skills, such as reading, writing and verbal ability will be tested.

Q:   How many times is Bihar STET conducted in a year?

The Bihar STET exam is generally conducted once a year. However, the decision regarding the frequency of exam is taken by the exam conducting body, that is, Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB). It is a state-level Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) exam that is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates as Secondary or Higher Secondary level teachers.

Q:   Is it compulsary to attempt all questions in Bihar STET papers?
A: 

Yes, it is compulsary to attempt all questions of Bihar STET exam as no alternative questions are given. The candidates have to take the exam in the CBT mode. The pen paper based exam will not be applicable for the Bihar STET exam. To get familiar with the exam candidates have to practice the mock tests online. The online mocktest will help the candidates to get along with the exam conditions easily and the candidates can perform well after praticing online in the exam. 

Q:   How many questions are asked in Bihar STET exam?

A total of 150 objective-type questions are asked in Bihar STET exam in each paper. All the questions are compulsary for the candidates and no either options will be given for any question. Each questions carries one marks for each correct answer. On the other hand, no marks will be deducted for the incorrect answers as the exam does not follow negative marking scheme. The candidates have to work for the accuracy and speed to qualify for the exam.

As per the official notice, the Bihar STET result 2025 is expected by November 16. The BSEB will conduct the BSTET exam 2025 from October 12 to 31. The answer key will also be released within a week from the exam.
