The link to download the result is activated on the official website. However, the direct link to check IBPS RRB result will be provided on this page. To check the result, candidates need to enter registration number or roll number and date of birth or password. IBPS RRB Result is announced online separately for different posts. The various stages of IBPS RRB result declaration is given below:

IBPS RRB Clerk Result

IBPS RRB Clerk result is declared in two stages-prelims and mains. The marks of the prelims exam are calculated out of 80. The marks for the main exam are calculated out of 200. The final merit list is prepared based on the mains exam.

IBPS RRB PO Result

IBPS RRB PO result is announced online by IBPS. Candidates can check their results by logging with the required credentials. The prelims exam of IBPS RRB PO carried 80 marks. The score of candidates is calculated based on the normalisation since the exam is conducted in different shifts. The marks of the mains exam are calculated out of 200. Candidates qualifying the mains exam are called for interview. The interview carries 100 marks. The final merit list is prepared based on the mains exam and interview. The marks obtained in the prelims exam are not counted for final selection.

IBPS RRB Result for Preliminary Exam

The preliminary exam is conducted for Officers Scale I and Office Assistant posts. The test comprises 80 objective-type questions from Reasoning Ability and Numerical Ability. The total marks allotted to the test are 80. Candidates qualifying the exam by securing the overall and subject-wise cut off marks are selected for the Mains exam. Depending on the number of vacancies, an adequate number of candidates under each category are shortlisted for the Mains exam. 

IBPS RRB Result for Mains/Single Level Exam 

IBPS RRB Mains examination is conducted for Officers Scale I and Office Assistant posts, while the single-level exam is held for Officers Scale II and III. The Mains exam comprises 200 objective type questions from Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability, General Awareness, English/Hindi Language, and Computer Knowledge. The total marks allotted to the Mains exam are 200. Candidates for the post of Officers Scale I, II, and III are required to obtain a minimum score in each test of mains/single-level exam and in aggregate to be shortlisted for the interview. For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) posts, provisional allotment is done based on the marks obtained in the Mains exam. 

IBPS RRB Interview/Final Result 

Depending on the number of vacancies, candidates three times the number of vacancies are selected for the Interview. Candidates shortlisted in the mains/single level exams for Officers Scale I, II, and III posts are called for the interview. The interview carries a total of 100 marks. The examination authority decides a minimum qualifying mark for the interview. The result of the interview is declared along with the final result. 

The final IBPS RRB result is declared based on the scores of the Mains exam/single level examination and Interview. The relative weightage given to the Mains exam and interview is 80:20.

  • For the correct answer, candidates score one mark
  • For the wrong answer, 1/4 of the marks assigned to that question are deducted as a penalty
  • If a question is left blank, there is no penalty for that question

The scores of candidates are calculated as per the marking scheme given below:

  • The number of questions answered correctly by a candidate in each objective test is considered for arriving at the corrected score after applying the penalty for the wrong answer.
  • The corrected scores obtained by candidates are made equivalent to adjust the differences in the difficulty level since the exam is conducted in multiple shifts to arrive at the equated scores
  • Scores obtained by candidates in any test are equated to the base form by considering the distribution of scores of all the forms
  • Final scores in each test are rounded off to up to two digits after the decimal point
  • 1/4 marks are deducted for wrong answers

Q:   How is the cut-off of IBPS RRB calculated?

IBPS RRB cut off is the minimum qualifying marks which candidates need to secure inorder to qualify the exam. IBPS RRB cut off is applied on different sections and overall/total marks. IBPS RRB cut off for the prelims exam is calculated out of 80 marks. IBPS RRB Mains cut off is calculated out of 200 marks. The provisional allotment cut off is calculated out of 100 marks. Candidates securing equal to or more than the cut off marks are declared qualified in each stage of selection process. As the exam is conducted in different shifts, the cut off is calculated after normalising the marks of candidates. Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts IBPS RRB exam for recruitment to the Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) or Gramin Banks. IBPS organises the RRB CWE Exam every year for the recruitment to the posts of Officers Scale 1, 2, 3 and Office Assistant. The exam is conducted online. IBPS is fully responsible for conducting RRB Common Written Exam (CWE). For the post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) the examination is conducted in two phases i.e.  preliminary and mains. For the post of Officers Scale 1, the exam is conducted in three phases-prelims , mains and interview. For the post of Officers Scale 2 and 3, the exam is conducted in two phases single online exam and interview. In recent years, the level of competition for IBPS RRB exams has spurt exponentially. Graduates from any field of study can attempt this exam. 

Q:   When IBPS RRB scorecard is released?
A: 

IBPS RRB Clerk scorecard is released along with the result. To download the IBPS RRB scorecard, candidates need to login with the required credentials. IBPS RRB scorecard displays details such as the candidate's name, roll number, registration number, exam date, category, the state applied for, minimum score, IBPS RRB cutoff marks, score obtained by them. The hard copy of the scorecard is not sent to candidates by post. Before completion of the interview process, scores obtained in the Mains examination are not shared with the candidates selected for the interview. 

Q:   What are the criteria for shortlisting candidates for the interview?
A: 

IBPS RRB exam is conducted to select candidates for the post of Officers Scale 1, 2 and 3, 2024. The interview is conducted for the post of Officers Scale 1, 2 and 3. The selection of candidates for the interview is done based on the performance in the mains. The marks obtained in the prelims exam are not counted to select candidates for the interview.

Q:   What is the process for IBPS RRB provisional allotment?
A: 

The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. Minimum qualifying marks in interview is not less than 40 per cent (35 per cent for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates). The relative weightage given to the Mains exam and Interview for the provisional allotment is 80:20 respectively for the Officers cadre. The combined final score of candidates is arrived at on the basis of scores obtained by the Mains for the post of Officers Scale I and in the Single Level Examination for the post of Officers Scale II and III and Interview. Interview score of the candidates failing to secure minimum qualifying marks or otherwise barred from the interview or further process is not disclosed. Candidates should qualify both in the Mains exam and interview and be sufficiently high in the merit to be shortlisted for subsequent provisional allotment process. The provisional allotment is done based on merit-cum-preference. For Officers in Scale I and Office Assistant (Multipurpose), the provisional allotment is restricted within the RRBs of the State opted for.

In the event of two or more candidates having obtained the same score, merit order is decided as per date of birth (the candidate senior in age is placed before/ above the candidate junior in age), as per the prevailing practice

Q:   What is IBPS RRB tie-breaking process and reserve list?
A: 

In the event where RRBs have announced further vacancies, provisional allotment is carried out from the reserve list. Wherein two or more candidates secure the same score, the merit order is decided as per the date of birth. This means candidates senior in age are placed above the one junior in age.

Q:   What are the important points related to IBPS RRB provisional allotment?
A: 

The provisional allotment is done in the following manner:

  • Once the interview/mains examination is completed, depending on the number of IBPS RRB vacancies, shortlisted candidates are provisionally allotted to one of the RRBs
  • The provisional allotment of candidates in IBPS RRB exam is done based on merit-cum-preference
  • For Officers Scale I and Office Assistant (Multipurpose), the provisional allotment is done within the RRBs of the state opted by the candidates
  • Candidates belonging to the reserved category, selected on the basis of the norms of the General category will be treated as per General Category candidates
  • Such own merit candidates belonging to reserved categories who are provisionally allotted under General Category will not be adjusted against a reserved post
  • The provisional allotment is subjected to candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria of RRBs and identity verification
  • The letter of appointment is issued by the respective RRBs
  • IBPS releases the list of candidates allotted to different RRBs 
  • To check the allotted bank, candidates need to select the post they have applied for. The allotment list displays candidates' roll number, marks obtained out of 100, and allotted bank

Yes, separate IBPS RRB admit cards are issued for prelims and Mains exams. The prelims admit card is released for all the registered candidates. The Mains admit card is released for candidates who qualifies the prelims exam.
