Indian Coast Guard Exam Pattern 2025
The Indian Coast Guard exam pattern is such that it is divided into four stages. Stage I comprises computer-based test. Stage II comprises Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Document Verification and Medical Exam. Stage III comprises Document Verification and Final Medical Exam at INS Chilka. Stage IV comprises shortlisting of candidates for training at INS Chilka.

Medical examination is conducted by authorised Medical Officers of Defence Forces as per medical standard prescribed in current regulations applicable to Enrolled Personnel on entry. The criteria for medical standard is given below.
Height: Minimum height 157 cms. Height standards may be reduced by up to 05 cms below 157 cms for candidates having domicile of Assam, Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Garhwal, Sikkim and local tribes of Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Reduction of 05 cm is also applicable to Gorkhas. Height standards may be reduced by upto 02 cms for candidates having domicile of Lakshadweep.
Chest: It should be well proportioned. Minimum expansion 5 cms.
Weight: Proportionate to height and age ±10 percentage acceptable.
Hearing: Normal.
