SSC CPO educational qualification is given below.
- Educational Qualification for all posts is a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university or equivalent.
- The programs in Engineering, Medicine, Dental, Nursing, Pharmacy, Architecture, and Physiotherapy, etc. are not permitted to be offered under Open and Distance Learning mode.
- Candidates who have not acquired the educational qualification will not be eligible and need not apply.
- For the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police (only) - Male candidates must possess a valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) as on the date fixed for Physical Endurance and Standard Tests. Otherwise, they will not be allowed to undergo Physical Endurance and Standard Tests.

SSC CPO application form 2025 was released on September 26, 2025. The application fee is INR 100 for General and OBC candidates. However, SC, ST, women, and ESM candidates were exempted from fee payment.

SSC CPO application fee is INR 100 for General and OBC candidates. All female candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Schedule Tribe, Persons with benchmark Disabilities (Divyangjans) and ExServicemen candidates eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee. After filling the online application form, candidates can pay the fees online only through net banking, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards. Earlier, candidates could pay their application fees through challan. However, the process of fee payment through challan has been discontinued by SSC. The application fees once paid by candidates will not be refunded. After fee payment, candidates should take the printout of the fee transaction receipt.
If candidates find that there are mistake while entering details in the registration part, they has the option to edit the registration part. To do this, candidates are required to login and use the option 'view/edit registration' by filling in date of birth, registration number and password. Once candidates has utilised the opportunity to correct/edit twice, they are not able to view the details filled by them. Candidates are advised to exerecise due care while filling in the details in the application form and making corrections. SSC CPO registration form can be filled online only.
Yes. Registration is mandatory for applying to SSC CPO exam. Before filling SSC CPO application form, candidates need to complete the one-time registration. On completion of one time registration, candidates can apply online for any examination of the Commission. One-time registration forms a permanent database for candidates. The unique registration ID and password can be used by candidates for all the examination. This facility is available for candidates throughout the year. Paper 1 comprises questions spread over four sections. The duration of the test is two hours as per SSC CPO exam pattern. The total marks of the test are 200. PET/PST is conducted for the qualified candidates of Paper 1. This stage is qualifying in nature but it is mandatory to appear for the exam. The normalisation of SSC CPO marks is done since the exam is conducted in multiple shifts in order to take into account any variation in the difficulty levels of question papers across different shifts. Calculation of marks is done up to five decimal places. The normalisation of marks is done by the examination authority inorder to adjust the difficulty level of the question paper.
