SSC JE Notification 2025: The Commission (SSC) released the SSC JE 2025 notification on June 30, 2025. The application online link was activated on June 30, 2025. The last date to apply was July 21, 2025. The SSC JE application process comprises registration, process of filling the form, documents uploading and payment of the fee.

The last date for payment of the SSC JE exam was July 22, 2025. The dates of ‘Window for Online Application Form Correction and Online payment of Correction Charges' were August 1 to 2, 2025. The SSC JE 2025 Paper 1 exam is tentatively conducted in December 2025. Paper 2 exam will be conducted in January-February 2026. The Commission earlier released a total of 1340 vacancies. As per the official notice, the vacancies are increased. Now, the number of vacancies are 1731. The exam will be held to recruit junior engineers across the several central government departments. The notification was released on June 30, 2025.

Q:   In which mode is the SSC JE exam conducted?
A: 
SSC JE exam is conducted in two modes- i) Computer Based Test and ii) Conventional. The details have been given below:
 
Computer Based Test (CBT)
 
The JE Paper 1 (Objective Type) exam is conducted in CBT mode. Candidates have to answer multiple choice questions using a mouse or a touch screen. 
 
Conventional Paper-Pen Mode
 
Paper 2 (Conventional Type) exam is conducted in offline pen and paper method. Candidates have to write down answers on the question sheet provided. Also, it  depends upon the specific job profile.
 
To conclude, Paper I is conducted in online way whereas Paper II can be either in CBT or conventional paper-pen depending upon the specific post/subject.
