TS TET Application Form 2026: The Department of School Education, Government of Telangana, closed the window to the application form for TS TET 2026 session on November 29. The application form was released on November 15. Candidates who want to appear for the exam need to fill out the TSTET application form 2026 online. The TSTET application process comprises filling out the registration form, paying the fee, completing the application form, and uploading documents. Check below the complete process to pay the TS TET application fee, register for the exam, get the TSTET journal number and submit the application form.

At the payment gateway, candidates need to fill out the TS TET registration form 2026 by giving some basic information such as their name, date of birth, mobile number, etc. On receipt of the fee, candidates will be allotted a journal number to proceed toward the next step of the TSTET application process.

Know your TSTET Journal Number 2026

After completing the registration process and paying the TS TET application fee, candidates need to know the journal number. Candidates can know their TS TET journal number using

  • Visit the exam page
  • Click on the 'Know your journal number' link.
  • Enter the mobile, date of birth and select the exam paper to login.
  • View your journal number and save it

Fill TS TET Application Form 2026

Next, candidates need to start filling out the TSTET application form 2026 using:

  • Go to the website
  • Click on the ‘Application Submission’ link
  • Click ‘Yes or No’ if you are appearing for a professional course exam this year
  • Enter the Journal Number, Date of Payment, Date of Birth issued at the time of Online payment
  • Tick the declaration and enter the verification code
  • Click on ‘Verify & Next’
  • Fill in the mandatory fields
  • Upload the scanned image of the photo and save
  • Fill the mandatory fields in the ‘Paper and Qualification’ and ‘X-Class and Previous TET details’ sections
  • Submit the form

After the successful submission of the TSTET application form, a Candidate ID along with an SMS will be sent to the registered mobile number of the candidates.

Note: The website informs, “Candidates are not required to send hard copy of confirmation page to TSTET unit.”

Details to be filled in TS TET Application Form 2026

The TS TET is held annually to determine the eligibility of candidates who want to teach in Telangana's primary and upper primary schools. Candidates need to fill in all the details carefully on the online form. The following details are required on the TSTET application form:

  • Parents’ names
  • Date of birth
  • Nationality
  • Category
  • Email ID
  • Education-related details such as the name of the institution last attended, marks secured, subjects studied, etc.

TSTET Eligibility Criteria 2026

The candidates who want to appear for the TSTET 2026 exam have to fulfil the eligibility criteria for the Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test 2026. The TSTET 2026 exam is divided into two categories Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates clearing the TSTET Paper 1 exam will be eligible for teaching posts in primary classes (classes 1 to 5) and those who will qualify for the TSTET Paper 2 exam will be eligible to teach in the upper primary classes (classes 6 to 8). The eligibility criteria have been discussed below.

TSTET 2026 Educational Qualification for Paper 1  

The educational qualification has been discussed below for the TSTET 2026 Paper 1 exam-

  • Candidates having 10+2 or equivalent with an aggregate of 50 per cent mark are eligible for this examination. For OBC/PwD/SC/ST candidates, the minimum marks are 45 per cent 
  • Candidates must possess a two-year Diploma in Special Education/4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education (B El Ed)/a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education 

Or

  • Candidates must have a 10+2 degree from a recognized board or equivalent with an aggregate of 45 per cent marks. For OBC/PwD SC/ST candidates, it remains to be 45% in the 10+2 examination
  • Candidates should have a two-year Diploma in Special Education/a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education/a four-year BElEd

TSTET 2026 Age Limit for Paper 1  

Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test does not have any upper age limit to apply for TSTET 2026. However, the candidates must be above 18 years old to apply for TSTET 2026 Paper 1.  

TSTET 2026 Paper 2 Educational Qualification 

The TSTET educational qualification for Paper 2 is slightly different from TSTET Paper 1. The educational qualification details have been given below for the TSTET Paper 2 exam-

  • BCom/ BA/ BSc with a minimum of 50 per cent in aggregate. For OBC/PwD/SC/ST candidates, an aggregate of 45 per cent marks is required  
  • Candidates should hold a Bachelor of Education specializing in Special Education/ Bachelor’s Degree in Education (BEd)

Or, 

  • Candidates must have qualified BSc /BCom/BA with 50 per cent aggregate marks. OBC/PwD/SC/ST candidates can apply with 40 per cent aggregate marks
  • Aspirants must have a Bachelor of Education specializing in Special Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (BEd)

 Or, 

  • Candidates should have cleared a four-year BA Ed / BScEd course with at least 50 per cent aggregate marks. OBC/ PwD/SC/ ST candidates can apply with 45 per cent aggregate marks

Or, 

  • Candidates must qualify for Graduation in Literature/ Bachelor of Oriental Language or its equivalent/ Post-Graduation in the language concerned/ Graduation with Language as one of the optional subjects
  • Aspirants must also have cleared BEd or have a Language Pandit Training Certificate. This criterion is required for language teachers only

Note: Candidates appearing for the final year Diploma in Elementary Education/ Bachelor of Education examination are also eligible to apply for the Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test examination 2026.

Age Limit Criteria 2026 for Paper 2 

Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test does not have any upper age limit to apply for TSTET 2026. However, the candidates must be above 18 years old to apply for TSTET 2026 Paper 2.
