The university conducts its entrance exam, known as PG Entrance Exam (PGEE), for admission to its various postgraduate courses. The university also accepts several state and national-level entrance scores, for admission to its specific courses.

For admission to its MBA programme, the university accepts MAT, CAT, Karnataka PGCET, XAT, CMAT, and several other entrance exams. BTech admissions to UOM Mysore are based on KCET scores. The university also accepts GATE scores for admission to its MTech programme.
