AP LAWCET Question Paper Pattern 2026
The AP LAWCET exam contains a total of 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) of 120 marks. Each question carries one mark weightage, and there is no negative marking in the exam. Questions in the exam are asked from three subjects, including General Knowledge and Mental Ability, Current Affairs, and Aptitude for the Study of Law. Questions in the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET Exam are broadly asked from three subjects: General Knowledge and Mental Ability, Current Affairs and Aptitude for the Study of Law. Thus, Andhra Pradesh LAWCET candidates need to cover these four subjects while preparing for the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET exam. They need to focus on the preparation of the Aptitude for Study of Law subject because it carries the maximum weightage of 60 marks in the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET test. Both the AP LAWCET and CLAT entrance exam are conducted for admission to the Law schools in India, however, the syllabus for these exams are different on many parameters and candidates should strategise differently for both the exams. AP LAWCET exam has sections including Current Affairs, Legal Aptitude, Contract Law, Constitution, etc. and the CLAT entrance exam sections include English Language, Legal Aptitude, Mathematics, etc. AP LAWCET does not have mathematics subjects, AP LAWCET exam focus more on regional knowledge.
