The exam analysis for AILET 2020 is now available as the exam got over on September 26 and, answer key released on September 29. According to the test-takers and experts, the exam was somewhat tough. AILET was held in a computer-based test mode for the first time due to COVID. Therefore, NLU Delhi has provided online mock tests so that candidates can prepare well beforehand. AILET 2020 Difficulty level - Section-wise

AILET 2020 Exam Analysis for English Section 

The section had some twisted questions, rather than easily scoring direct section as candidates would have expected. Candidates could get confused among the options and, there were some foreign words, nouns, informal vocabulary that candidates might not have prepared for. Therefore, it was slightly higher on the difficulty level. 

Expected cut off marks for AILET 2020 English section - 22-24 marks 

AILET 2020 Exam Analysis for General Knowledge Section 

This section of AILET 2020 was analysed to be the easiest of all. The section carried contemporary as well as, static general awareness questions. Some of the questions were directly from the books for GK and Current Affairs of the past year. Candidates could have easily scored in this section. 

Expected cut off marks for AILET 2020 GK section - 23-28 marks 

AILET 2020 Exam Analysis for Elementary Mathematics Section 

The section was found to be tricky and time-taking as candidates has to solve it in the given time. Although, the questions were based on topics from elementary mathematics. However, candidates without mathematical skills would not be able to score well, if not prepared sufficiently. 

Expected cut off marks for AILET 2020 Mathematics section - 6-8 marks 

AILET 2020 Exam Analysis for Legal Aptitude Section 

The section was entirely based on legal facts and principles, however, candidates found it a bit lengthy. The questions based on Legal Reasoning were quite tricky therefore, candidates found the section to be of moderate to tough.

AILET 2020 Exam Analysis for Logical Reasoning Section 

As expected by the candidates, the section was little higher on the difficulty scale. There were 2-3 lengthy questions based on logical reasoning and, remaining were based on analytical reasoning. The questions were based on AILET 2020 syllabus only. Therefore, candidates who have practised well enough would get 25+ marked in this section.

NLU Delhi provides admission to its BA LLB and LLM programme based on the AILET 2026 scores. However, all other NLUs in the country accept CLAT scores for providing admission to their courses. Candidates can sit for both the entrance exams to expand their scope of admission.

The total seats offered in NLU Delhi are-
  • for admission to BA LLB program - 120 seats
  • for LLM ciourse - 81 seats  
The additional seats are also offered for Foreign Nationals and OCI/PIO candidates.
