The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) will conduct the CLAT PG 2027 exam on December 6. The Consortium released the CLAT PG 2027 applications on August 3 on its official portal - consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The Consortium conducts this exam annually to select the candidates for Post Graduate Law Courses in the participating institutes. The participating universities include 26 NLUs and IIULER Goa. Apart from NLUs, many private law colleges like Jindal Global Law School, Nirma University, NMIMS, and others also accept CLAT PG scores for admissions.
The CLAT PG 2027 exam is conducted nationwide in a single shift at the designated exam centres. The Consortium releases the results and invites the qualified candidates for the Counselling process.

CLAT 2027 exam will be conducted on December 6, 2026. The exam will be held from 2 pm to 4 pm. Consortium of NLUs has officially announced CLAT Exam Date.
Candidates must note that CLAT 2027 Objection Window will open once the answer key is released. Candidates can raise objection on CLAT Answer Key on or before the last date. Once the objections are received, the consortium will publish the CLAT Final Answer Key. Based on that, the CLAT Result will be announced.
CLAT exam day dos:
- Reach examination centre at the reporting time mentioned on your CLAT admit card.
- Carry two copies of the CLAT admit card, one photo ID card, passport size photos
- PwD candidates should carry relevant certificates and documents.
- Carry a blue/black ball point pen for signing attendance sheet
CLAT exam day don'ts:
- Do not carry items such as bags, purses, pencil box, beepers, wrist watch, calculators, mobile phones, electronic devices, scanners, cameras, wireless/Bluetooth transmission or any such communication devices.
- Don't wear closed shoes, jewellery made of metal, jackets, clothes with pockets, mehendi on palms. Socks are allowed inside it.
- Don't wear caps, hoodies or jackets/shirts with pockets
- Don't be late for exam. Entry gates will be closed 15 minutes before the commencement of exam.
Apart from the CLATAdmit Card, candidates must carry the following documents to the exam centre:
- Passport-sized photograph (same as the one uploaded with the application form)
- A valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar card/ Driving Licence/ PAN Card/ Passport/ Voter ID)
- Transparent water bottle

The Consortium of NLUs conducts the CLAT Exam from 2 pm to 4 pm. The exam is held only in one slot. There are no shifts in CLAT Exam. The exam will be held in pen-and-paper mode.
Yes there is negative marking in CLAT Exam. 0.25 marks will be deducted if the answer is wrong. For each correct answer one marks will be awarded.

No, the Consortium has confirmed that no changes has been made to the CLAT Exam Pattern 2027. It must be noted that CLAT Syllabus has also remained the same this year.

According to the CLAT exam pattern, there will be no deduction of marks for unanswered questions. Such questions will not be taken into consideration while calculating the total marks of a candidate. Hence, if candidates are not sure about the answer of a question, it is better to leave it unattempted rather than doing a guess work, to avoid negative marking.
