The National Law University (NLU), Delhi conducts AILET exam for admission to the LLM course. To perform well in the exam, candidates must know the syllabus and AILET exam pattern of their respective Law course. The AILET Syllabus for LLM course includes the core law subjects.

Candidates must note that the AILET LLM 2027 Exam pattern was changed last year. The main subjects of AILET LLM 2027 question paper will be as under: Different branches of law (Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Administrative Law, Law of Contract, Law of Torts, Family Law, Criminal Law, Property Law, Company Law, Public International Law, Tax Law, Environmental Law, Labour & Industrial Law).

The AILET 2027 LLM syllabus will have 100 MCQ questions pertaining to different areas of law. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect attempt.

As per the revised AILET LLM 2027, the AILET LLM Questions will be asked from subjects mentioned below:

What's new in AILET 2026 LLM syllabus

According to the exam authority, the following changes were made in the question paper of AILET LLM in the year 2023:

  • There will be NO MORE TWO sections - Section A and Section B
  • There will be 100 MCQs 
  • The questions will be asked from different branches of law.
  • Final AILET Merit Rank - It will be prepared considering the scores of the candidates.
  • Tie-breaker - If two or more candidates secure the same marks, then merit rank will be decided considering
    • Seniority
    • Computerized draw of lots.

The official AILET 2026 AIR 1 score has not been released yet. It will be announced after the exam results are declared by NLU Delhi. You can apply for AILET 2026 if you passed or appearing in Class 12 with at least 45% marks (40% for SC, ST, PwD). There's no age limit for the exam. For postgraduate courses, you must hold an LL.B. degree with minimum required marks. Always confirm details on the official AILET 2026 notification.
