The Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) Entrance Examination 2023 has been concluded today from 10 am to 1 pm for the MA Mass Communication programme. Candidates who took the JMI Entrance Exam for Mass Communication course shared that they expected the exam to be difficult, but it was of moderate level as the objective part was the objective part of the paper was easy in comparison with the descriptive part. They also shared that the JMI exam 2023 was based on a similar pattern as previous years, therefore, with sufficient preparation, one can qualify it easily. Madan Shukla shared that the JMI Exam was very easy, and he found the objective part of the paper more convenient to solve. He shared that the subjective part was very lengthy as candidates were asked to write answers up to 500 words in a given time. There were several questions in the descriptive part like explaining the event shown in an image, reference to context, and an essay of about 500 words on any significant invention in the year 2022-23. He shared that the questions were asked to analyze the creative ability and imaginative skills of the candidate.
Another test taker Nishant shared that the question paper was moderate, and some of the questions were based on statements made by powerful personalities and their impact on democracy and society. He also shared that he was expecting the level of the questions in the descriptive part to be tough but it turned out to be easy as compared to the objective part. The JMI administration smoothly conducted the exam.
Armaan from a test center in Delhi shared that the questions were asked from Socio-economic topics and current affairs and the question paper was easy. The overall conduct of the JMI Exam was fine. He said that the subjective part was very lengthy.
Arman Alam, aspiring to become a journalist, shared that the question paper was moderate and he expects good marks. He said that Jamia Millia Islamia is his first preference for pursuing Mass Communication and this is why he prepared for the exam diligently. He shared that his strategy of revision and practicing sample papers did turn out to be well.
Nishtha Arora shared that this was her first attempt at the JMI Exam, and the question paper was moderate. She also added that the number of questions for the objective part should be increased to make it less lengthy and easy to solve. She also shared that she faced some issues with downloading the admit card as the JMI exam portal was hung when the admit cards were released.
When will JMI Answer Key 2023 be released?
The answer key and candidate’s response sheets will be made available online on the admission result page within three working days after the JMI entrance exam is over. After downloading the answer key, candidates can calculate their score by following the marking scheme prescribed by the examination authority. Candidates should assign the marks allotted to a particular question if they have marked it correctly. If the answer happens to be incorrect, they should deduct the marks assigned for the wrong answer. The score can be calculated based on the number of answers marked correctly in the exam. Candidates can compare their responses with the JMI answer key and calculate the estimated score. Challenges against the answer key can be submitted within 48 hours after the answer key is uploaded.
What After The JMI Entrance Exam 2023?
Candidates clearing the written test will be called for the interview round. Interviews will be conducted offline at the AJKMCRC department at Jamia Millia Islamia. Those qualifying for the interview will then be offered admission in their respective course based on merit as the cut-off will be determined by the Jamia exam authorities. Selected candidates will be required to complete their Jamia Millia Islamia admission formalities as per the admission schedule. Candidates will be required to bring their JMI admit card 2023 and attested copies of the following documents at the time of admission.
- Marksheet of qualifying exam (Class 12 and graduation)
- Age proof based on the certificate of high school/secondary school or equivalent examination.
- Reserved category certificate.
- Character Certificate
- Permanent address proof
- Experience and No Objection Certificates (In case of working candidates)
