How to Prepare for FTII JET? - FTII JET is a national-level film school entrance exam. It is conducted annually for students who want to get admission into postgraduate and post-graduate diploma courses at FTII Pune and SRFTI, Kolkata. It is a Joint Entrance Test (JET) conducted by the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, and Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), Kolkata.
The entrance exam is considered one of the toughest to crack compared to other Film and TV entrance exams. To crack the FTII JET exam, students need plenty of preparation as they will be judged based on their intellectual skills, general studies, English, and General Knowledge. To qualify, students will have to prepare well in advance, cover all the topics based on which questions can be framed in the test, and gather enough preparation material that is sufficient and not too overwhelming. They must also be familiar with the syllabus and the test pattern. This year, FTII has made some changes in its exam pattern.
The Film and Television Institute of India has released the schedule for FTII JET 2026. The application window is now open and will close on April 07. The FTII JET Stage 1 exam 2026 will be conducted on April 26. The tentative dates for Stage 2 exam is June-July 2026.

No, a candidate cannot fill FTII JET application form offline. The Film and Television Institute of India releases JET registration form in online mode and candidates have to fill and submit the same in online form only. No offline application form will be accepted by FTII for entrance exam.
