Banaras Hindu University is one of the only 8 public institutions in India to have received the "Institution of Eminence" status from the Ministry of Education. Famously known as BHU, this central university is recognised by the UGC, holds an NAAC "A" Grade and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), signifying degree equivalence with other AIU member institutions. Yes, to apply for BHU BSc (Hons) course, candidates need to register online for CUET-UG. From 2022, the BHU-UET exam is replaced with this exam. Based on the merit of candidates' performance in the entrance exam, candidates are then required to register separately for the counselling round. National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted CUET-UG entrance test from May 21 to Jun 23 and the result was declared on Jul 15.
BHU CUET PG cutoff 2026 was published for admission to various PG-level courses for the first round. The cutoff was released for different All India quota categories, including OBC AI.

BHU Infrastructure
Banaras Hindu University is located on the southern edge of Varanasi, near the banks of the river Ganges. Development of the main campus spread over 1,300 acres. The campus has over 60 hostels offering residential accommodation for over 12,000 students. Below mentioned are the BHU infrastructure details:
- Hostel: There are 41 hostels for boys and 21 for girls. Additionally, there is separate accommodation for international students. All the hostels have basic amenities like water purifiers, a common room, a recreation room, a mess, a TV, laundry services, a security and surveillance system, etc.
