FTII JET Exam Analysis 2025
According to students who appeared for FTII JET last year at various test centres in India, overall difficulty of FTII JET question paper was moderate. Most questions were asked from the topics which are included in the FTII JET syllabus. In General Aptitude Test, the questions were based on current affairs. According to student feedback, long descriptive answers were tougher than expected. Students found MCQs easy, but answering long questions was time-consuming.

There is a cut off which is defined after the exam is conducted. The FTII JET cut off is defined based on various factors such as the exam's difficulty level, total number of applicants who appeared in the exam and the shifts under which the exam is conducted. Candidates who score equal to or more than the FTII JET cut off will qualify in the exam. As far as the minimum passing marks of FTII JET varies, the minimum final cut-off marks to qualify for admission in FTII for General Category is 50% for General category while that for OBC NCL category is 45%.
The Film and Television of Institute of India Joint Entrance Test (FTII JET) is conducted in offline i.e. pen and paper mode. The question and answer booklet will be distributed to the candidate at least 10 minutes before the commencement of exam. The question paper will be MCQ-based and candidates will have to mark the correct option in the answer booklet.

FTII JET 2026 Marking Scheme
The FTII JET Stage 1 question paper is of 100 marks. It is divided into two papers - Paper 1 & Paper 2. Paper I includes 30 multiple choice questions of 2 marks each and Paper 2 includes subjective questions of total 40 marks. FTII JET Stage 2 is an interview round, conducted at FTII Pune Campus. It is conducted to assess a candidate's ability on selected course.

For FTII JET Stage 1 Paper 1:
- Each question will have FOUR options. The questions will have only one correct answer option.
- For each question, candidates will choose the option(s) corresponding to (all) the correct answer (s)
- For every correct answer, candidates will get 2 marks.
- In case of incorrect answer, 0.5 marks will be deducted.
- No marks will be awarded for unattempted questions.
For FTII JET Stage 1 Paper II: There is no specific marking scheme for FTII JET Paper 2 of Stage 1 exam. But, the total marks for Paper 2 is 40 marks.

As per official website of Film and Television Institute of India, Stage 1 has 30% weightage on the overall result and Stage 2 has 70% weightage on overall result of a candidate.

On clearing the Joint Entrance Test (JET), students can get admission into Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) as well as the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute of India (SRFTI). These two premiere institutes are the conducting body of FTII JET as well. No, candidates can't change the exam centre after finally submitting the FTII JET application form. The test centre cannot be changed once candidates have filled it as there is no application correction window provided by the exam conducting authority. As per admission process of FTII JET entrance exam, candidates who wish to get admission at this institute have to appear for 2 stages. Students who are selected in first stage can take Stage 2 exam. You might already know that you have to carry your admit card to the FTII JET exam centre. You can take two copies just to be safe.
