FTII JET Pattern 2025: Check Paper Pattern, Duration, Marking Scheme

FTII JET (Film and Television Institute of India Joint Entrance Test) consists of two parts: Part A and Part B. Part A assesses general aptitude, mental ability, and awareness about the audiovisual medium. Part B evaluates the candidate's specific area of specialization, such as direction, cinematography, editing, etc.

As per the official exam pattern of the FTII JET exam, the time duration of Film and Television Institute of India Joint Entrance Test part I is 3 hours or 180 minutes. The Part B of the FTII JET question paper is descriptive in nature. The paer 2 is designed to evaluate the candidate's skills and knowledge in their chosen field of specialization. It typically includes descriptive type questions where candidates will have to write the answer related to the question of the course they have applied for.

Yes according to the exam pattern of the Film and Television Institute of India, there is negative marking in the exam. As part of the negative marking, -0.25 marks alloted to the question in Paper I of FTII JET will be deducted. The paper 1 will be objective type in nature hence candidates must mke their answer choices wisely.

No, the Joint Entrance Test will not be done through online mode. Both the question papers of the FTII JET, paper 1 and 2 will be conducted offline mode i.e. pen and paper test. Paper 1 will be MCQ based, while paper 2 will be descriptive based.
