OJEE 2023: Instructions for Candidates
Candidates must follow the instructions mentioned below before appearing for the OJEE 2023 exam:
- Candidates must carry their OJEE admit card to the exam centre as it is a mandatory document without which no candidates will be allowed to enter the exam hall.
- Check the details mentioned on the admit card carefully before taking a printout. If there are any errors, the same must be reported to the exam conducting authority.
- Applicants are advised to visit the exam centre at least two days before the exam to know the location of the centre and transportation facilities available to avoid last-minute hassle.
- Candidates are also required to carry a duly filled Self Declaration form with valid and true information in legible handwriting. A passport-size photograph (same as the OJEE application form) must be affixed to the form and it should also have a left-thumb impression. The parents of the candidate have to sign the Declaration Form and the candidates have to sign the form at the time of examination in the presence of the invigilator.
- Candidates must reach the exam centre at least an hour before the reporting time to complete the frisking formalities at the centre gate.
- Applicants must also carry a valid photo ID proof issued by the Government of India along with the OJEE admit card. They must also carry an additional photograph, ballpoint pen, sanitizer and a water bottle.
- Candidates belonging to the PwD category must carry a PwD certificate from a competent authority.
- No electronic gadgets are allowed inside the exam hall. Applicants must not carry any personal belonging except the ones mentioned above to the exam centre.
- Applicants will be provided five blank sheets for rough work which are to be submitted once the exam is over.
- Applicants must not leave their seats before the invigilator says so. The social distancing norms are to be followed at all times.
- Candidates are also required to submit the admit card in the dropbox. If anybody fails to do so, it may result in a non-evaluation of the answer sheet.
- Candidates must not indulge in any unfair means. If anybody is caught doing so they may be barred from appearing for the exam.
OJEE 2023: SOPs for OJEE During COVID-19
- Candidates need to follow social distancing norms at all times.
- Test centres will be utilized with 50 per cent seating capacity as per the guidelines of the Government.
- If in case any candidate appears to have a high body temperature or any other COVID-19 symptoms he/she will still be allowed to appear for the exam in a specially created isolated exam hall.
- Exam halls and venues will be completely sanitized before each shift including the chairs, tables, computers and other peripherals.
- Candidates must wear three-ply cotton masks of proper design so as to completely cover the mouth and nose, but not the ears.
- Candidates cannot enter the OJEE exam centre without a mask.
- Hand sanitizers will be available at various spots in the exam centre, however, candidates must carry their personal hand sanitizers too.
- The examination process will be made contactless to ensure social distancing norms.
- Before entering the exam hall, standard frisking of the candidates will be done using a handheld metal detector (without touching the body).
- Staff will be deployed at appropriate locations to guide the applicants moving into and out of the test centre maintaining, all along, the social distancing norms.

- Students who hold a graduation degree or equivalent in any discipline from a recognised university can apply for OJEE.
- Final year graduation students are also eligible to apply for OJEE.
- There is no age bar to apply for OJEE exam 2026

OJEE and JEE syllabus is somewhat same and different in some places. The OJEE syllabus for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics is different from JEE. In JEE, the physics syllabus includes topics such as Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Optics, etc. These topics require knowledge of physics topics.

Any graduate candidate with a 50 percent aggregate can apply for OJEE. The applicant must also be a citizen of India. There is no age bar for the candidates appearing for the exam. However, candidates appearing for BTech Marine Engineering exam must not be more than 22 years of age.
