Exploring options is always considered a wise decision than dropping a year. Take guidance from seniors and teachers, analyse performance and learn from the mistakes committed earlier. Prepare with complete focus and determination to score high in ATMA exam.

For better results in a competitive exam, a student should practise and learn the basic concepts. A clear understanding of basic concepts would help in securing good marks. In the ATMA exam, the Quantitative Ability section is conceptual; this makes it a high scoring section. Hence, every student should focus on Quantitative Ability. Devise a timetable for preparation and strictly follow the same. Students could also take coaching classes for ATMA exam; this would help in practising thoroughly from the study material provided by that institute.  Revision is important for every exam. Hence, students should focus on revising each topic regularly.  Proper time management is essential for this exam. Complete the syllabus at least a half month before the scheduled exam.

There are scenarios where a student ends up securing low marks in the entrance tests like ATMA. In such a scenario, students should not lose hope instead they should start exploring options. Also, students could analyse their performance when they secure low marks.

In addition, many B-schools are accepting candidates whose scores are not up to the mark. In my opinion, students should apply for the following exams:

  • CMAT and MAT
  • Other private colleges such as LPU NEST for Lovely Professional University and VIT MBA Admission Test for VIT University, SRM, Jaipuria institute of management and many more
  • State government exams for MBA such as MHT CET, Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test (TSICET), UPSEE MBA and many more

There are other B-schools such as Great Lakes Institute of Management, which focus on profile than marks obtained by the student. In addition, in case a student wants to prepare for MBA exam again then they could prepare for the same diligently. In my opinion, to prepare for ATMA exam, a student must prepare for CAT; this would make the preparation for ATMA easier as CAT is a difficult exam as compared to ATMA.
