By: Aman Kumar
The failure to score 90+ percentile or qualifying any top-notch entrance test is not the end of the world. Aman Kumar shares tips on how management aspirants can re-build their confidence and appear for the exam. He also highlights that many well-known B-schools accept students scoring below 90 percentile in XAT, SNAP, IIFT or any other popular management entrance test.
For better results, focus on basics that offer clarity on the various concepts. Getting clarity in the basics is key to scoring better because most of the questions come from them. The quantitative ability questions in XAT/SNAP/IIFT exams are mostly conceptual in nature every nature. You should, therefore, focus more on the Quantitative Ability section.
Explore colleges based on IIFT
Connections with a good coaching institute will be helpful for the preparation because there is a need for proper guidance at every stage. Also, create a good timetable to remain focused on the upcoming exams. Time management is necessary during preparation for all the popular management entrance tests so cover your syllabus at least one and a half month before. This leaves you with ample time for revision. Don’t go beyond your syllabus while revising for any of these exams. Most importantly, don’t lose hope. One unsuccessful attempt cannot determine your career. The only thing that matters when it comes to clearing an exam or any other obstacle in life is your confidence.
