TISSNET 2018 Results

TISSNET 2018 has been scheduled for January 6, and the results of the same will be declared on January 27, 2018 at 8:00pm. The exam will be conducted by Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). Test-takers must note that the result of the exam can only be checked online, and hard copies of the scorecard will not be sent to any aspirant. 

The scorecard will be available online and candidates can access the same by entering their user ID and password. These credentials are allotted to the aspirants at the time of registration, thus it is important to keep all the details safe.

Candidates are selected on the basis of their merit ranks. The merit list prepared after TISSNET results are declared will carry the names of candidates who need to attend the Pre-Interview Test (PIT) / Group Discussion, and Personal Interview rounds.

TISSNET 2018 results can be checked by following the below mentioned steps:

  • Visit the official website
  • Look for the ‘Admissions’ tab on the top of the page and click on the ‘TISS Result’ section
  • Enter User ID and password
  • The scorecard will appear on the screen
  • Take a printout of the same 

Candidates are advised to keep the printout of the result safe until the entire admission process gets completed.

In cases where two or more candidates obtain the same marks and creating the merit list becomes difficult, TISS simplifies the process by bringing in the tie-breaker criteria. This involves comparison of marks at different levels. Let us have a look at the tie-breaker criterion: 

  • The marks obtained in Personal Interview will be compared
  • If the marks obtained by both the candidates are equal, the marks secured in Pre-Interview Test (PIT) will be considered
  • If PIT marks are also equal, the entrance score will be compared
  • If again the scores are equal, the candidate who is older in age will be given preference over the younger candidate.
