Overall it is satisfactory but you can't expect a world class facilities.
Placements: It was by far the best. Approximately more than 90%placed. The highest approximately 13-14 LPA. Hdfc, tata motors, tata steel, walmart, tata power, Hero motto corp, Aarti Industries limited, Jubilant, Cadilla, Reliance Industries, Reliance Retail, Vedanta, Taj hotels, Icici bank, Lixil, volvo eicher, etc. Roles- Corp Hr and IR. Internship- everyone placed. Yes there is a placement cell.
Infrastructure: Basketball court, library, Wi-Fi, canteen, classrooms available. Single classroom allotted to students where professors come and teach. The food available at canteen is average. Boys hostel is pretty far. You can make good use of library as there are two library available.
Faculty: Professors were helpful at all times but somewhat a school setting but it's good for maintaining decorum. PowerPoint and case studies are used. Industry exposure is quite helpful. Though PowerPoint may skmetime seem useless but it also sometimes is useful. Though to get yourself helped you need to study on your own.

XISS is worth the money. It has excellent placements at the end of the year.
Placements: The placement rate of the current batch (2019) was almost 82%, which was way better than last year, which was around 67%. Almost 62 students out of 75 in our batch got placed. Companies like Taj Group of Hotels, Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Hero Motocorp, Tata Powers, Siesta Hotels, Cadillac Pharmaceutical, Jubilant, Sambandh, Alembic Pharma, Godrej, Vedanta, HDFC, ICICI, ICICI Lombard, Aarti Industries, Reliance Industries, Reliance Retail, HIL, Coromandel group, Volvo Eicher, etc., visited our campus for placements. The highest salary package offered by ITC and HZL was 13 LPA. The average salary package offered was 5-6 LPA. Tata Steel, Maruti, HZL and ITC were some companies that offered PPOs.
Infrastructure: XISS has a decent infrastructure. The college provides a basketball court, auditorium, parking lawn, cafeteria, conference rooms, music room etc. Each classroom is well equipped with a projector and air-conditioners. Each floor has a good Wi-Fi connection with good internet speed, which can be used for any classwork, presentation etc. XISS provides a developed computer lab which is well maintained.
Faculty: The department of human resource management is the flagship department of XISS. This is because of the salary packages received by the students each year in final placements. With the modified course curriculum, the core subjects are taught here with other electives as well. Interdisciplinary subjects are also taught. Business communication classes make each student become vocal and learn the aura of public speaking. HRM has well-rooted fieldwork whereby the students visit various centres and work or teach over there. This is a part of the course curriculum.
Other: XISS is located in the centre of Ranchi. It is well connected to other areas of Ranchi. It has an enthusiastic crowd. With its annual fest Panache, students are overcharged, and they participate in it wholeheartedly. It also conducts a basketball tournament.

Review of XISS - Xavier Institute of Social Service.
Placements: Placements in our college are fairly good. The average salary package offered was 6 LPA. If students have good capabilities, then they can get a good salary package also. However, students should be knowledgeable and hardworking here in order to make sure to get placed in reputed companies with a good salary package.
Infrastructure: Lack of infrastructure in our college as there are no more proper computer labs and Wi-Fi works only sometimes. Medical facilities were not available in the college, and there was no proper place for sports. Classrooms are also small for the students.
Faculty: Faculty are fairly good. The course curriculum is good, but it needs to be improved as per the current scenario, and new subjects need to be included as per the requirements of the industry, and also more diverse topics need to be included.
Other: The college organises annual fest called Panache.

Faculty and placements are good, but I am dissatisfied with the infrastructure.
Placements: Placements for PGDM-HRM are quite good. Big brands like ITC, Maruti, ICICI, ICICI Lombard, HDFC, Taj Group, Tata Steel, Walmart, and many more companies visited the campus. The highest salary package offered so far was 12.50 LPA, and it was offered by Tata Steel. The highest stipend offered during SIP was 1.2 lacs per month by Flipkart.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not that good. There is no campus as such. However, there are gym and parking facilities. Classrooms and canteens are also not up to the mark. Wi-Fi and labs are also not that good, and so are the medical facilities. We don't have any infirmary on the campus, and neither do we have any game rooms. The quality of food available in the canteen is satisfactory. There is no hostel facility.
Faculty: Faculty members and course curriculum are the things that make this institute unique among the top B-schools, especially when it comes to PGDM-HRM. This college is known for its IR inputs. But when it comes to case studies, they must be increased.
Other: There are a lot of events organised by the college like IR Conclaves, Debates, Annual fest and various seminars.

A short review about XISS highlighting the experience, its pros and cons.
Placements: More than 90% students from Marketing and Rural Management got placed in my batch and the same was for their seniors too. HRM didn't receive good placements in my batch nor in my senior batch. The average was 70% which is quite low for the flagship department of XISS. Although the number is convincing for summer placements.
Infrastructure: XISS doesn't boast of nice infrastructure. It's a pretty old reputed college which started its inception since 1955. Although the classrooms are well-equipped with ACs, Wi-Fi and projectors. The labs and library are functional. The cafeteria also serves good food and snacks. Overall it's a state of art structure which gives a aesthetic feeling for good conducive environment for studies.
Faculty: Overall the faculty members are qualified and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is satisfactory and can be improved for few subjects. The core subjects of HRM should be taught from the first 2 trimesters itself so that the students can do well in internships. The core subjects should't be an option rather be a mandate for the students to study. However, labour law was and will be the best taught subject in XISS.
Other: XISS conducts its annual fest "Panache" in a grand way for 3 days. It attracts a huge crowd with its elegance and grandeur. Also, it conducts annual sports, fresher's and other extra curricular activities.
