KMAT accepting colleges or KMAT participating institutes are the top MBA colleges accepting KMAT scores for 2026-28 admissions. KMAT exam will be conducted by the Karnataka Post Graduate Private Colleges' Association (KPPGCA) for admission to postgraduate courses such as MBA, PGDM and MCA. The KMAT exam will be conducted on September 20, 2026, in the home-based remote online proctored mode. The KMAT exam will be conducted in about 13 exam centres across Karnataka, however, this year the exam is being conducted only in the remote proctored mode. KMAT Counselling 2026 Procedure
Following is the KMAT 2026 counselling procedure:
- A merit list is prepared by each participating institute after the KMAT results are declared. Candidates are shortlisted according to the cutoff released by each colleges under KMAT. This merit list consists of the names of the students who have matched the cutoff criteria and are selected for the further selection process which includes the GD/PI round.

- On the basis of the KMAT scores 2026 and GD/PI scores, a final merit list will be released of the selected candidates and they will be called for the document verification process.

The KMAT counselling is conducted in online as well as offline mode. Candidates who have qualified for KMAT exam must register themselves online through the official website. However, the Personal Interview WAT/GD and document verification round under the counselling process is held offline at the designated helpline centres. Candidates who meet the KMAT cutoff, need to visit the centre for document verification as per their rank and other selection rounds such as PI and GD. The seat allotment process is also conducted online based on the merit, category, and choices filled by the candidate during the registration process. As per the information on the web, the closing rank for GM category in 2025 was 11442 in round 3. So, yes candidate can pursue MCA from NIE Mysore. The chances may be low, because the priority is given to candidate with higher ranks.
